Homecoming The Next Spider-Man - - - - - - - - - Part 18

Nothing is going on, Talion.

Asa probably got the role sometime ago and is now in Atlanta to shoot as Spidey later next week. Tom heading to LA is completely irrelevant; he's likely heading out to audition for a part in some other movie. They're actors, after all.

Gotta agree with C here.

I hope. This actor thing is getting old.

Christ, I hope you're right, the casting needs to be done.

That'd be TASM2 for me, lol.

No, I loved TASM2 just as much lol. Wtf happened, why did they get panned so bad?!? :csad: :argh: :waa:

TASM (despite flaws) was a masterpiece (and TASM2), especially compared to almost all the MCU films... I just don't get it. So much heart and emotion. Freakin brilliant

I completely agree, never understood why it got so much hate.

TASM is the best superhero movie ever made imo. I've NEVER hyped a movie so much in my entire life.

The ASM series has excellent actors but clumsy script and suffers from not knowing what it wants to be.

Sheen
Fields
Garfield
Stone

Tried desperately to elevate the material. Frankly, they deserved better. Right actors, wrong time.

The one time everyone collectively starts praising TASM series...

Daltonio isn't here. :oldrazz:

I love the ASM films, but I'm very fond of Raimi's trilogy as well.
It's like Ang Lee's Hulk vs TIH, or Keaton/Burton against Bale/Nolan, or Connery & Moore.... Why can't we like both?

Put it this way, even if the new Spider-Man movies completely blow the ASM movies out of the water I am not going to sell my ASM blu rays.

I also loved TASM and absolutely didn't understand the hate towards TASM2. Was it a masterpiece? No. Mainly due to some script problems and wrong creative choices imo, but it was far from the next Batman and Robin as some people have called it. It's still a shame this colaboration between Marvel and Sony didn't happen earlier, because the right talents were attached to the series.

The TASM-series will always have a special place in my heart, and I'm sure I'll rewatch it time to time just like the Raimi-trilogie.

I really enjoyed TASM2, it's bad bits are bad, but it's good bits can go toe to toe with anything any CBM has produced, ever.

I thought Andrew killed it.

If sony listened to the advice Feige gave, then it would have been 10/10

Still blew SM1 and SM3 out of the water.

For me I just really don't like Asa look. Sure he is a good actor. But we still have the unknown factor in if he can do humor and have it come off naturally and not forced.

Them we have possible concern with asa around 6 ft tall. And as I brought up asa body type. He is tall lean and rail thin. And seeing thst his dad is same. And that link I posted the other week about body types. I don't see Asa ever getting wider or packing on muscle. And we would have a twig spidey now and a twig looking spidey come end of contract time with asa if picked.

Then with tom he is shorter and stockier build. And we already know he is in a better atlethic body. And has a body type thst can build up easier. And tom seems more lively and up beat them asa. Has singing dancing and gymnastics background. Comes from a comedian father. He just seems such more a better pick. And that is why I hope it's him.

Okay dudes, there's a new development:

Are you ****ing ready?

Take a look at this:

Now scroll down to the comments. Tom is thanking someone called Franck Corbery the clocks that he gave him. That we already knew, but... take a look at the last posts:

Stanley Weber, an actor that was filming Pilgrimage with Tom Holland linked "oka_hey", which I presume is this Franck guy that he was thanking, because that's what he posted there:

oka_hey
@tomholland2013 you're more than welcome. Thanks for flying our flag. Good luck in LA.

"Good luck in LA"? Why LA? What is going on in LA? Why Asa got a flight to Atlanta and Tom is heading to LA? WHAT IS GOING ON?

...And if that's not jumping to conclusions, I don't know what is.
