Poor Asa didn't get to go to wembley to see Aresnal win the FA Cup. :o

Dylan O'Brien is currently on the same planet where civil war is being filmed

He's also in the same country. It's only a matter of time, guys.

no, that's not how i remember it. he did call spiderman selfish but once the police shot at him is when he really got ticked off.

No, dude. He got shot and got angry which Spidey had to save the numerous people and a cop, I believe. After he did that, the crowd started applauding Spidey and Electro took that as a sign of betrayal. He called him selfish and accused him of setting him up, to which Spidey tried talking him down but it was to no avail and Electro went beserk.

I just watched that scene to refresh.

the ruining of dr. kafka, the incredulous/unconvincing vendetta electro develops for spiderman, peter/harry scene & all the other potential cut scenes from the film, the waste of the rhino character, and probably more. i said asm2 is the best spiderman movie, but it certainly isn't without flaws.
Yeah the whole Dr. Kafka thing was stupid and really out of place, felt more like Something Sam Raimi would do, they should have cut that out.

I found Electro's motivation very convincing, some others have post why so I won't get into that but I will mention going into this movie I expected to hate Electro, the whole nerdy overlooked guy gets powers and through misunderstandings becomes the villain is so cliche. And until he becomes Elctro that's what I thought, but Foxx's performance as Electro was really good it won me over. My real problem was his character had no real ending to his character arc. I really feel they should of down played his character and stream line it focus more on the Oscorp conspiracy. The Peter/Harry scenes were really well done, despite a few plot holes.

How could you ruin the Rhino character? In just about every incarnation I've seen he's just single minded thug who runs into things. I felt he made a perfect bookend to the film. What I hated was how they put him into all of the trailers and advertisements. Why would you show the final scene in the trailer? If they had kept it quite it would have been more of a fun cameo, than a missing fight sequence.

Its pretty easy to see why ASM 2 gets hate. It was panned by critics, the villains were awful, bad musical choices , It wasn't even so much a Spiderman film as Sony's "Lets try to incorporate every popular franchise at the moment" film, the film didn't make as much money as even the last one did etc. In the end , Sony basically ended the franchise themselves by writing it into a corner. With Norman and Gwen dead, basically resolving the Richard Parker mystery, and tieing the rest of the Rouges gallery to Oscorp, and. Those spell "This franchise is over". Its no mystery to me why it got such a negative reception and why its over.
Agreed, TASM 2 is awful...just awful. Complete cash grab and a disgrace to Spider-man.

I just disagree, I love the musical score. And they didn't write themselves into a corner, in fact they left Spider-man open to go any direction they wanted. And they planned on spinning off the Oscorp conspiracy to a Sinister Six movie (which I'm curious how that would work), they even show interest in continuing with that movie. Even if they didn't it could have easily been the plot of ASM3.

For me:
Spider-Man 2 is the best 'movie'.
Amazing Spider-Man 2 has the best 'Spider-Man'.

Fixed it so it can suit my feelings. I hold TASM2 over SM2, but SM2 is the better made 'film'. I just personally enjoy the characters of TASM2 much more than SM2.
I pretty much agree with this. ASM2 had the potential of being the best Spider-man movie ever, but having too much plot got in the way. 90% of it was really good and really well done. The script and editing just needs some more fine tuning. I can understand someone not liking it, just not why its gets so much hate, special when Spider-man 3 exist.

Isn't really anyone a contender at this point? I wouldn't be surprised if it were neither Asa or Tom. No one expected Garfield, no one expected Cumberbatch, no one expected Pratt, I mean, if we should be ruling anyone out it should be the people who are front and center. They're always the smokescreens.

that^^^ makes it unconvincing for me

because max never seemed inherently evil or someone who wanted to hurt other people so it's stupid of him to hate spiderman getting cheered on for saving people. that he put in danger.

He wanted to be noticed and appreciated. When Spidey first met him (by saving him), he felt that and immediately believed him and Spider-Man were best friends.

After he got that delusion in his head, he had a different approach to anyone new he met (like Gwen, as an example) and was a lot more cheerful until his bad luck continued (the accident).

All he wanted after his accident was help and his friend that he believed he had, and when his friend stole what was so important to him (to be noticed), he felt betrayed, hurt and immediately turned on him.

Electro also put people in danger at first unintentionally, as he couldn't control himself. "It's not my fault."

After that whole debacle, he concluded that people should live in a world like he did -- darkness (hence the blackout).

again, I didn't buy it in the film. I don't think it was a convincing way to give electro a vendetta against spiderman.

Max was emotionally unstable even before the accident.
