Man i so cant wait for peter casting to be official. So all the endless debates on this or that pick can be over. Then we can go to will this guy be a good peter if its someone no one mentioned. Or is one of the more favored guys. I do hope casting is revealed monday or tuesday. Cause if its not man oh man i said it before this board is going to be a mad house of crazy rumors/pranks on Wednesday. Please marvel reveal the pick already.

Now for the whole young parker deal we still yet to know officially in story how young/what they are going to do with peter. Yes they may say they want a teen but it be no different then many films and shows do with casting 18-25 to play 15-18 yr old characters. Yes it would be cool to see an actual teenage play the role. But will the kid want to sign long term deals and would he grow more/grow differently then he already is. Then on top of what if they want to go to school and if they are under 18 labor laws on filming at all that. That is why going 20-24 isnt really that bad.

We by past all the labor laws issues, they could be done with collage or not attending collage cause of doing tv/film instead. They are done growing and we know how they look. And like many have said there is lots of younger folks who look way older than they are and the same with older folks looking munch younger then they are.

So like i said in the discussion threads if logan/dylan were the pick. With them being 23 turning 24 this yr isnt that bad. makeup, glasses, cloths and the way they move and act they could fudge there age easy and still be fairly easy to think they are a teen.

So if phase 3 of the mcu will be taking peter from 15-19 yrs old. They could still pull that off. I think as long as they dont age much in the next 5-6 yrs. And i think both got the youthful looks in them to stay young looking for awhile.

Then if there deal is for a start of 6 pictures, from civil war, 3 solo films, and the two infinity wars films. They would be working pretty much fully from this yr 2015-2019 filming all 6 of these films. And i pointed out by the time all 6 of these films are filming or are completed they would only be turning 28/29 yrs old. Which is right around the ages tobey and andrew started doing 1st of there films.

So if we break doing the ages they are between 2015-2019 phase 3 filming/release window we get this: 2015-23/24, 2016- 24/25, 2017-25/26, 2018-26/27, 2019- 28/29. They would be still under 30 yrs old before phase 3 ends, and still be a good 10-15 yrs younger then all the other bigger guns of the mcu heroes. So they could still play with the whole younger peter/spidey vs the avengers angle. Plus said guy if he was logan/dylan age or even 20-23 right now would still be young enough to probably sign for another 3-4 films and go through phase 4 before they are even 35-38 yrs old.

And what i think most keep forgetting is that the mcu films are set in real time they are happening in the years they are released in. Unless specified like cap 1, agent carter, etc...... So even if they wanted to do teen peter if he is 15 yrs old in 2016 for civil war By 2019/2020 peter as the character would be hitting 18-19 yrs old and would have to be graduating hs by then. And with that we would only likely get civil war, solo 1, solo 2 (if released in 2019) we only see spidey as a teen for civil, infinity war, and two solo films. Even if they did cast a teen at 15-18 yrs old no way they could stretch him in hs any longer then 2 solos and infinity wars and civil war.

So i still dont see why logan or dylan would be out any more then any other 20 something actor. Cause once we get past teen spidey in phase 3. For all we know phase 4 films that spidey shows up could be set a few yrs later and we hit a peter at 25-28 yrs old which is the age range he is in the comics of present and a 28-early 30s logan/dylan could still easily play adult peter with ease. Heck didnt someone mention in one of the threads that rdj tony is 5 years younger then robert is in real life. So once we have an adult peter age is not an issue.

But the guy from Latino Review took that info from castin directors didn't he?

So no way that's a mislead. It doesn't mean they WILL go with a teen though.

I personally dont care about Peter being worried about who hes gonna take to prom or missing his SAT's or giving harry advice on what to do about his pregnancy scare, or watch him try to get laid, or get bullied, or go to his first party or whatever being a teenager in the mcu entails. But thats just me. Start him off in college where he meets Harry, Gwen and MJ and go from there. High School woulda been good for a spiderman tv series, where it can be developed not a movie series where its pretty much guaranteed to take a backseat to all the other crap going on.

johnny that is what i think folks are forgetting they look at the age and think oh now they cant be teen. By 2019 we will be past teen age peter if mcu films he is in and the first 2 solo films are counted in real time.

So ya even if marvel/sony want to do hs setting and hs peter with how time goes in mcu there is no way we could get more then 2 solo and 3 mcu films with him at 15-19 yrs old as character. That is one of the factors i havent kicked dylan or logan out. They would be filming all these films from now to 2018 and i doubt they be aging that much between these films. Yes they would look older when actual films are released and doing interviews/press. But by the time phase 3 is over i bet teen peter will be done with. And solo 3 and future films can be young adult/collage age peter of 20-25/or 24-28 yrs old. Counting on how many more films said actor does post phase 3 and timeframe of his appearances are. And at that point a late 20s dylan/logan wouldnt be that bad.

oscorp the difference here is vs andrew when he was first cast at 27 playing a what 17-18 yr old peter in first film. Is dylan or logan would have 3-5 films already shot and getting released by the age andrew even started filming. And like i said at this point teen peter story will likely be over. and we be going into young adulthood peter.

People did have problem with it though. I remember lots of discussions about how Andrew looked too old.

People tend to focus on the little things when a movie isn't good which was the case here, if the film was great nobody would have complained about it, its a pretty minor thing.
