But seriously they REALLY want O'Brien there wasn't even this much hype for Cumberbatch as Strange. He literally has 1 million less followers than Robert Downey Jr, ever since the Spider Man stuff started. It's freaking unbelievable.

Well like many think for all we know maybe he has the role and been signed for awhile and since nda it's the reason he been as he been.

Marvel is definitely aware of how much fan-support he's receiving from all of the Spider-Man fans. they can't just turn a blind eye, people REAALLY want O'Brien for this role.
He's such a perfect fit, it's practically insane!
Probably because he's the perfect choice for Spider-Man.

I'm still convinced that he's cast.

I hope you're right! :D

I'm not even mad. That's just straigh up inspirational. There wasn't nearly this much hype for Garfeild, Maguire, or even other non-spider-man actors Raffulo, Downey, Hemsworth, Evans. This is just amazing that a single actor from an MTV tv show brought this many damn people together.

While reading this post I thought it was about Spider-Man as a character being inspirational, but no...

Seriously, it's cool if he'll get the role but guys, we get it you know?

I just hope Marvel Studios cast whoever is best for the role no matter number of fans. I bet loads of those Twitter people (mostly young teenagers?) are Dylan/Teen Wolf fans first and foremost.

I JUST NOW saw the news from 6 days ago.
After searching Mateus Wards name, I found that
200_s.gif
he did a super secret audition for spiderman.
Either way, if Spiderman plays ANY kind of big role in Civil War, they should have the actor picked by now, and he should be announced before they start filming, because we will see set photos otherwise. :P If he is just in an after credits scene they have another 14 months though of course.

As for the hype on twitter I think that is enough to make Sony/Marvle's minds up. Or maybe even change their minds. Or just confirm their thoughts... or they don't use twitter...
I would tweet #dylanforspiderman but I don't have a twitter. XD

Can't ACTUALLY be true. :P
Or at least isn't very likely true.

Like I have said for all we know who ever is revealed likely has been signed for a month or two tops. These things just don't happen out of thin air. They take months to finalize things.

But those fans aren't cast directors. I'd feel much more at ease if people would just let the professionals do their ****ing work instead of demanding like this. People are seriously thinking way too much of themselves if they think they know better than the directors.

It's coming soon, I can feel it.
Dylan we're rooting for you man.

Yeah, I think the actor is already signed a while ago. So campaigning for an actor now is a bit pointless, because it won't make any difference whatsoever if Marvel already have someone. It's like watching a replay of a sport and cheering for a particular team or player when the result is already known and decided.

Who do you think it'll be?

Well put. But I don't think people should stop stating their opinion just because they aren't the ones making the decision, that is kinda the whole point of stating your opinion... to show your opinion. I highly doubt that a majority of those people think that the professionals know less than them.
They are merely showing their support for the idea.
Demanding? If asking for something, suggesting something, stating your opinion on something, all with a group of many many people, is the same as demanding... then yes, they are demanding. But then that means you are also demanding they stop. Instead of telling us you think they should stop.

Who do you think it'll be?

Well I'm hoping it's O'Brien, but it could be anyone.

I do want to know eventually though why O'Brien was acting strangely at Paley Fest if he was never in contention for the role.

Heh... what if they released a short tweet to tell us it's dylan, and used the #dylanforspiderman...
Ruining the chance to release it in an epic way.

Guy 1:Yea the Seahawks are totally gonna win!
Guy 2: Matt we watched this game like 5 times, the Jets are gonna win.
Guy 1: Nooooooooo!

That being said, I want Dylan. I even retweeted to show my support. But if the actor they chose isn't O'Brien...it's going to be entertaining that's for sure. I won't really mind but...damn. All that campaigning and all those leaks, hints, and "sources" coming out of the woodwork saying Dylan was Spidey...meant nothing. Literal jack****.

But only time will tell. I eagerly await the announcement of whomever Marvel choose be he adult, teen, known or unknown.

He might not be any of those permutations. :o

Ya if it's not dylan then really why has dylan changed so much in interviews last month or so. Vs past ones. Like others have said it follows others who denied things but was true.

He could be a Toddler, Infant or a newborn :o

Well he'll certainly have longevity in the role. No-one will guess once he's in costume that he's not really an adult male, even if he has a pacifier in his mouth under his mask. :o

I suppose he could just be feeling deflated and naturally not enthusiastic about Spider-Man anymore if he has been rejected, but trying to put on a brave face and saying he never even heard anything about it. Maybe it's better to say that he was never even in contention than to admit that he auditioned but failed.

But surely if someone has failed, they should be more forthright in saying that they didn't get the part. If it was simply that he was not in the correct age range, then it's not a reflection on himself in any way, and therefore nothing to be ashamed about.
