I think they're going to have their own event prior to E3, just as sort of a sneak preview of some games in development for it and of course the console itself. Then at E3 they'll get into the nuts and bolts.

Before the holidays next year? I don't understand that, since there are still games like GTA V coming out for 360 this spring.

I didn't think it would release until at least 2015.

Why do you think all the big games are coming out in the spring next year? Publishers are dumping everything before the new consoles hit.

I expected it to be launched in mid 2014 But IF it's out a year from now then yeah I also think MS will hold a special press conference or something in a few months then go into all the spec info at E3 and that leaves 5 or 6 months to build up hype for launch

What exactly will the new xbox offer in terms of gameworlds? Hopefully games like Skyrim or AC3 become the norm, because I'm not someone who'll buy a new console just because its has better graphics.

I'd assume if it comes at Holiday 2013, there's already some big games Microsoft will have ready for launch.

Halo 4 just came out and Gears of War's prequel game is being released early next year and that means no Halo&Gears game for launch,I'm expecting a new Forza and rest just mostly third-party games with exclusive content for the new Xbox

I dont know much about console releases but I think releasing the next xbox next year is a meh decision

-The 2 biggest exclusive series are Gears and Halo, right? Why not hold of Halo 4 to be a launch title and why not have Gears come months later. I think that wouldve guranteed a lot more sales

That would be cool,As much as I love sci-fi war games such as Halo&Gears..I think it'd be good IF they do something different this time like their own version of an Uncharted type of game or something.

There will most definitely be new IP. Microsoft has been recruiting a lot of talent for new studios over the last couple of years.

I actually hope they allow us to play Halo 4 (and Gears I guess) online on the next Xbox. Just let Live be Live and no matter what you're on you can still play whatever game.

I sure hope XBL for the next Xbox is like PS3&PSP Vita's PSN,Same PS store&account and it even has cross-use/play and that would be great for the next Xbox like IF I get it at launch then I want to use my 360 account and play games with my 360 buddies who still doesn't have the new console or at least able to join parties using my 360 account/gamertag

XBL won't be free... Ever. I actually hope it never is. I mean... If they want to open Silver up a bit more to allow Netflix, Hulu, etc use (they should do that now) but the current XBL model is successful... Live is never down due to hacks or down for days at a time due to updates.

I never want them to follow Sony's model... I'll pay 60 a year willingly to keep it from going that route.

Open up Silver more... But keep the gold standard.

I agree with you and that's why I didn't say to make it free,I simply want Xbox 360&New Xbox's XBL to be the same/connected,They can take away my achievements to start new IF they want But I want to use my current account/gamertag and able to join parties with my 360 friends while on my Xbox 3

Yep XBL will never be free. If anything PSN will charge. The revenues from XBox Live subscriptions over many years aren't all that far away from the price of a console without the hardware costs. But it's a great service if you use cross game party chat with friends regularly & without it I wouldn't play games nearly as much.

Yeah 60 bucks for 12 months isn't anything to cringe about. Its the price of a new game you'll be using all year long.

What they need to do is go away with microsoft points. I hate when I'm 100 points away from an arcade game and I need to buy 1400 points and then have 1300 points just sitting around. Go with dollar amounts next time.
