The Nine

So has the show revealed "ANYTHING" yet???

...They better start some revealing soon, this show won't last more than a year or two.

^ Since I've quit 'The Nine' a month ago, I'm more interested in 'DayBreak'. But I doubt it'll be enough to keep my time either

Well they had something going but after watching the latest episode.

It's nothing.

Nick & the chick from 24 were trying see if the robbery was an inside job involving Eva. The 2 bros, who robbed the place, did time at Chino Hills. Where Eva's ex-boyfriend/husband/or whatever the **** he is to her was also serving time.

A couple of flashbacks at the bank robbery & clues. Made it looked like she, Eva, was in on it.

-When Nick approaches her at the counter. It looks like she's hinting to go outside where it's safe. Basically she was telling him to use the ATM outside. He tells her how he likes looking into the eyes of ppl giving him money or some **** like that.

-One of the robbers talks to her. When Nick askes her what he said. She tells him that he didn't say anything.

-She had one way tickets to Arizona for the day after the robbery. And the tickets had been pushed back 3 times already.

Eventually the truth was out. According the Maricruz chick from Prison Break. Eva kept pushing the tickets back because she was hoping that something would develop with Nick. Who was her favorite customer. And if **** didn't work out. She was going to live with her cousins in Arizona. So yah nothing else is going down except the trial against the 2 robbers.

With that being said ... this is where I stop watching the show.

I'm also anticipating Daybreak. It looks pretty solid and I like the way they are positioning it during Lost's break.

With this show, I'm sure you could just wait and watch the season finale to find out what happened. Save 20 or so hours of your life on vague BS in between. :cwink:

I've been giving this show a try, but it's just incredibly boring. I can't get into it, at all.

For the Nine? that's sort of the like saying just watch the season finale of Lost and you will find out what happened. Aint the same as watching the show itself.

I think Daybreak will attract Lost fans though. It's smart scheduling by ABC imo, similar demographics to Lost-watchers will be interested in this. Plus, Taye Diggs is pretty much that DUDE.

I thought I posted seldomly... ;)

When ads for the Nine were being shown I thought it looked interesting but when I watched the first episode, I thought also thought it was boring so I didn't even finish it and never watched it since. It seems like a failed attempt to make a show where "strangers somehow come together and are somehow connected" kind of thing.

Actually, you probably could do that for Lost too. Most of the in between episodes are filler with little nothing happening. Half the episodes are BS Backstories that don't affect the plot in any way. I've already predicted that there won't be successful escapes on the part of Jack, Kate and Sawyer until the season finale. Just more BS until then.

I'm a BIG fan of Tim Daly. He's got range that few tv actors have. He can do Comedy, Drama, Satire, and voice work for that matter. If he's the crux character to this ensemble drama, I'll be enjoying it that much more! I'm looking forward to it.

I liked him better on "Eyes".:csad:

I wouldn't say great, but I think it had a lot of potential and pretty kickass opening credits.:o

^ thanks for breaking me back down to tv-earth.

but compared the pacing of 'the nine', 'eyes' could be confused with great.

...but it's still no "WINGS"!

I was hoping it would go somewhere first. Ah,well. What about Six Degrees?

The plug has been pulled on The Nine.

Now all the stars who were from other shows, that are still running, try to get their jobs back.

The chick from 24, the chick from Prison Break & finally the guy from the Unit.

According to this. It's been yanked from it's Wednesday line-up with it's future status up in the air. Too bad ... the promos were so promising.

Damn, and I so wanted to find out what the secret was.

Oh wait, they weren't ever going to tell us anyway. :cwink:

I never was able to finish watching the full first episode since I was bored out of my mind :ninja:

Yeah, I don't give a rat's A when it comes to the secrets of 'the nine'.

The secrets were never compelling enough to sit through a one hour show every week for years. (I'm not even compelled to use exclamation points)

This wouldn't even be good as a 90 minute movie-film. I did not like the show.

ABC Yanks 'The Nine'

20/20 cohost John Stossel announced at the end of the ABC magazine program Friday that he will return next Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. with a 20/20 special entitled, "Who Gives? Who Doesn't?" Fans of The Nine, which usually airs in the same time period may have asked, what gives? On Saturday, their question was answered by the network, which said that The Nine was being yanked and will return later in the season. There was no indication what will replace the program following Wednesday's 20/20 special.

I have to say, if it wasn't for Tim Daly, I probably would have quit the show after the premiere. It wasnt bad, but it wasnt worth staying on after Lost. Too bad the guy cant catch a break. Oh well. Daybreak is definitely the better show.
