Can someone censor the variety review of spoilers so I can read it please?
Those guys at RT.com are idiots, lots of users just voted 0% for the sake of it. Guess they have to prevent it from "destroying" Iron Man... fanboys...

I also liked Iron Man, but it didn't exactly meander too deeply into the more philosophical areas of its script.
And as far as Maggie goes, the constant "Maggie is ugly," "You'd have to be stupid to say that, she's just non-conventional" fight is absolutely ******ed. Who gives a ****? We get to see a wonderful actress at work here. The fact that people try to justify how hot she is (and really, lets be honest, I think 99% of people who aren't just trying to defend her hotness because they love everything Batman, would at least put her a notch below most other actresses), just shows that they're shallow enough to believe that how hot someone is actually matters in a performance (unless of course the story calls for it).

I don't hate the "Latino Review" because it's negative. It's not really negative, it gives the film an A-, overall I'd say it's positive, actually. I hate the review because it's crass and tasteless, mocking Maggie Gyllenhaal's looks and Heath Ledger's death. I don't even call it a review. A review discusses the film. This is just a sad little blog with the writer attempting to dredge out "humor" from totally inappropriate sources.

Dark Knight is a failed attempt to revive the popular character Batman portrayed by Adam West in the classic TV series of the same name. What The Dark Knight is missing is the colorful characters and witty dialogue of the TV series on which it is based. Instead of the audience pleasing "biff" and "pows" the Dark Knight favors a dark and depressing tone.
The Dark Knight does follow the tradition of hiring popular actors to portray the villainous characters that inhabit Gotham City. But unlike the wonderful performances of Cesar Romero as the 60's Joker or Eartha Kitt as Catwoman, the Dark Knight favors dreary performances from Oscar caliber actors like Gary Oldman and Micheal Caine that seem out of place in this superhero movie.
My suggestion is if you want to see some great Batman fun this weekend go rent 1998's Batman and Robin which features great performances from George Clooney and Uma Thurman and returns to the fun of the TV show. Also for the kids check out the comic books that are based on the TV show.
Good stuffA review I don't believe has been posted yet:
Some slight spoilers...But they basically say it's the best film of the summer!

Was that on tonight's show, during the monologue? The monologue is about as far as I'm willing to go when it comes to Leno, unless he's got a must-see guest. For the non spoiler crowd, Jay Leno called TDK the best movie of the year and said it was unbelievable, for what its worth.

New review on Rotten Tomatoes!!
''A dark, ambitious, mature and gritty crime saga the likes of which Michael Mann or Martin Scorsese would be proud to call their own''

Aaron Eckhart will be on his show tomorrow btw.

I caught it. It was less than a second, LOL. He mentions having a guest from "the new Batman movie. BEST movie of the year, UNbelievable. Really really good."Überlibran;15217210 said:Thanks! I'll be flipping the remote back and forth to catch that one.![]()
