That's funny, I think picking Hillary would have the opposite effect.

If I were American I'd certainly consider NOT voting Obama if he picked Hillary as VP.

I disagree...I think Obama needs to reconcile the old with the new and keep it moving.

How is it that McCain cost the Jobs? Please explain. I guess it would have nothing to do with the State's decisions to favor Unions over Company owners and increases in Corporate Taxation that drives businesses away to places like Texas, right? It has to be the other guy running for president, not the State's Policies itself.

And you know what? McCain and Davis DID have a hand in brokering that DHL deal. That's absolutely true. They enabled American jobs to be moved off shore, pure and simple. That's why I LOL'd yesterday when McCain announced he was going to launch a federal investigation into the situation. What will he do if they find him at fault since he was a big part of it?

That's what I would like to know. I can tell you that the local media was interviewing DHL workers/protesters after John McCain left and the majority of them were "pleased" with what he had to say...

That's not the point SB. The point is that upwards of 8,000 more people are possibly going to be out of a job! My area has been hit very hard. There were also two other smaller factories that have closed down recently.

Our unemployment rate is already at 6.6 percent.

Anytime I switch the news on honestly, I half expect to see something about Obama being assassinated.

Just wait for the convention. I can't say why exactly I feel this way, but something tells me that something terrible is going to go down. I can't shake it...

And I think Hillary & Co. have a surprise for us too...something that no one is expecting. There has to be a reason she's holding on to her 18 million delegates.

You're being paranoid. Clinton knows she has no move. She will campaign half-heartedly for Obama, pay her dues, and just hope he loses on the grounds that she can run in 2012. She may pull a Lieberman (say something damaging to his campaign at a very crucial moment, that ultimately cannot be held against her as Lieberman did to Gore during the whole Florida recount fiasco) but she won't try to make a move at the convention as she does not have one.

As for an assassination, I simply don't think its possible. The secret service is going to have a small army at that Convention. Though I do think it is dumb to have the acceptance speech at Mile High Stadium with 75,000 people from a security stand point and am honestly suprised Secret Service did not shoot that down (no pun intended). A stadium is designed to give every seat an optimal vantage point. A fairly accurate pistol could make the kill shot from a decent distance in a football stadium and with 75,000 people it would be fairly easy to smuggle in. Still, I don't see it happening. I doubt tickets were sold to just anyone and if I can figure this stuff out, I'm pretty sure Secret Service can and will be going over every visitor with a fine tooth comb.
