The Obvious Plot Holes (Ending Spoilers)

Well that's cool. And its also cool you get to talk to Doug Jones who is an awesome performer.

I'm happy they also used his voice in this movie. I think opting not to use Jones' voice in Hellboy and FF2 was unforgivable. At least Del Toro fixed it in the sequel.

While it's sort of a plot hole, part of BPRD's mission is to Research the paranormal, not to destroy it. Destroying it at the end sort of goes along with the idea that they no longer work for BPRD.

Plus I think it was the idea that it was too dangerous for anyone to hold on to. You don't need a rogue agent stealing the crown and starting a mad quest for world domination.

Umm....When the Angel of Death says Hellboy's real name, Liz makes a comment like "you know his name?" or something close; How does Liz know his real name? In the first movie when Hellboy's real name is revealed isn't Liz kinda dead?

Maybe Myers or he told her...who knows. Isn't really anything major.

I was just wondering. That is really the only thing that bothered me in the entire movie.

Okay heres another stupid question by me, but how does Liz know she is having Twins??

I kinda wish that they had a small scene of her finding out that she was going to have twins, would of made more sense.

Thats all I can really think of that wasn't really answered in the movie. I might think of something stupid later.

I think something was shot with her going to the doc, but I guess it was cut out.

More than likely she went to Abe and he told her that he sensed two life patterns, which was probably cut out.

Heck, he was probably just stunned by feeling and sensing the first one. As well, the writers thought that hey will make them think they know, but in the end we will surprise them.

Oh...as a parent I find this pretty funny [though saddening as my age is 24 and I am laughing at parent humor (Hate getting old)] Hellboy is going to have to get rid of all those cats, because they can't be around babies.
He is going to be pissed!

I'll give the same response I always give when people mention "plotholes" like this in movies:

If the conflict were resolved in the first 15 minutes, it wouldn't be much of a movie, now would it?

To be fair to his criticism you have to concede that the conflict shouldn't be written so that what happens in the third act to resolve it isn't an option in either the first or second act when introducing it.

So what you are saying is.......it is a good idea or bad idea when making it an option based off of what is introduced in the first or second act?

Why get rid of the Cats?

Why get rid of the Cats?

Cats can not be around babies, or rather babies can not be around cats because they carry a bacteria in their feces and their hair can get into babies lungs and cause breathing problems.

isn't that a silly myth? i grew up with cats since i was born and i'm fine.

It's not a myth, but just people interchanging probabilities with absolutes.

If you're going to have a baby AND cats, you should do your best to minimize the amount of cat hair to lower the chances of any health problems with your child. Certainly not everyone is affected by having cats in the house.

i raised my son around cats, turtles, snake, fish, and when he was brand new two big dogs who adored him.
he's fine.

practice proper hygiene, wash after handling and it's fine. once kiddo is able you teach them proper habits.

there's no reason for Red to get rid of his kitties, maybe have a room set aside for them with their doo boxes in it

Did anyone notice that there were less cats in this movie than the first. But yeah, if the third comes out and they have kids the cats just might not be around the babies.

Also why doesn't Liz just fry all of the tooth fairies in the begining instead of waiting till all of the agents are dead? When the tooth faires first showed themselves the other teams memebers should have left and then she should have fried them instead of standing around shooting thousands of tooth faires.

As someone stated earlier about how detached Liz, HB, and Abe are from the human agents, I did not like how they were apathetic to the deaths and safety of the human agents.

Just as in the first movie when the agent with hair plugs was killed, there really wasn't an emotional attachment or willingness to really try and save the humans who were being eaten by the tooth fairies.

WTF? I'm glad I'm not in the bureau.

They do seem detached from the human agents, but also I think that they were taken off gaurd. One minute they are just looking around and the next they are being attacked by hundreds of tooth fairies.

i think in their line of work death is common. it can take anyone at anytime and they expect it. death nearly came to Red even...
