52 begins soon, with the key players of the book being, The Question, Renee Montoya, Black Adam, Elongated Man, Steel, and Booster Gold. The book will also be written by writers Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Keith Giffen, and Mark Waid. 52 also explains what happend during the missing year that led up to One Year Later.

The Question: Takes Gotham City under his protection during the year.

Black Adam: Willingly makes the decision of being the one to bring peace and justice to the world.

Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man: Still mourning the loss of his wife Sue, we see Ralph on the verge of possible suicide in the preview to 52 before getting a call that her gave has been messed with.

Steel: Decides to return as a hero for the series.

Booster Gold: BG protects Metropolis while Superman is away, he's still dealing with his best friends (Blue Beetle/Ted Kord) death.

Renee Montoya: Montoya returns to the weekly series and plays a very important role, she's also been rumored to helm the mantle of the new Batwoman. Though, nothing is official yet. Also, she may have an interation with Question and aid him while he's in Gotham.

One of the six people above don't make it out alive towards the books conclusion, take your pick. There's talk about other heroes being part of the main cast, they were said to be surprises and big names.

How many of you will buy the maxiseries, and what are your thoughts?

Well for one, we find out in Robin OYL and Teen Titans that the Bat-family spent the missing year on a trip around the world....

How can you just be like "alright, I'll be back in a year, Gotham, don't get to ****ed up"?

Gotham was left under the care of The Question

As for Superman, he lost his powers after Infinite Crisis and doesn't have them for the whole year... in fact, the year is over and he still doesn't have them.

The thing is, they said someone was going to die at the end of 52. I think it's going to be The Question. In the recent Wizard interveiw with the writers, they didn't mention The Question once. And they showed pictures of each of the characters. Except The Question. :(

if The Question is Gothams new protector, then where is he OYL?
i'd say Harvey Dent kills him...

the whole idea is that dc's trinity (superman, batman, wonderwoman) is replaced for 52 by steel, the question, and black adam, respectively. booster gold isnt really replacing anybody cuz he's just cool on his own.

It sucks if they're going to get rid of Q. I'm just starting to get into his character. I can't wait for 52 though. It's a pretty cool concept...and it's weekly. This is gonna be good.

if they do kill Question I hope he dies as a hero and not some crappy ass way

It's not actually official yet that he'll be the one to die, even with all the speculation which led up to his name being on the top of the list. I honestly think it's a bad idea, only because his popularity has risen with alot of fans do to his appearence in JLU and how he was portrayed. I was expecting to see more of him after 52 was over and still hope to (if death doesn't come knocking on his door). So much could be done with him, the possibilities are endless...

And I agree, 52 is looking up to be a great one.

I really hope the main characters of 52 are taken to the next level. Booster should be more than a lame-o. His Celebrity superhero concept is awesome, and different from most dc heroes

and the concept that he now uses the historical records to stop crimes

sometimes I think Booster could of prevented the Crisis by just looking at his historical records

nah. the crisis was too big. even if he did manage to find out, he'd be just as dead as beetle.

but couldn't he find out who was behind the whole thing?

Who is the Question exactly? Does anyone know or really care who is behind the mask?

Maybe the Question will die, and someone else may take up the mantle later on.

John Henry Irons may be a possible choice as well. His niece or his daughter (whatever she is, I can't remember) could easily take up his armor.

Or maybe Booster, that would really get people mad.

I'd hope they wouldn't kill Ralph or Black Adam.

Its the question just think about it to many reasons for him to die and less reason for everyone else.

BB won't die someone has to watch over the new bb. Steel just got back he isn't going to die twice.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't let it be Elongated Man who bites it, dammit. :( That would suck incredibly, and make me eternaly pissed for a good while. Ralph is my favorite character of all time and has been for years, not to mention how he's one of the best detectives out there. I don't want it to be like just because Sue died, he has to suffer the same fate. I want to see alot more out of him if he survives 52, maybe even an ongoing series!! :)

Written by Geoff Johns and art by Phil Jimenez ofcourse.

I also feel that Hourman 2 is going to die(or something bad) I don't know why but I have a gut feeling on this one.And is it weird that he came out in IC but in the JSA OYL?

Different doesn't necessarily mean good. If he's good for anything, he's good for reminding readers of why America sucks. Because he's pretty much the epitome of America sucking.

I agree that The Question shouldn't die. There's just no reason to. Haven't we slaughtered enough heroes already?

I would like it if Booster died, though. Another nail in the coffin of JLI.

I imagine if that happens your world will be over.
