Totally agree! And while I think Franco did a great job with how Harry was written, I think he as an actor had so much more potential that was not written into the character or storyline.

Same for Grace with Brock/Symbiote/Venom. Such a waste of some really good material.

Now we get Dr. Connors, with hopefully a great actor, and what is again (hopefully) a better written story/villain.

Here's hoping BOTH Connors and the Lizard is NOT "kid friendly"

He's supposed to be pretty freaky looking with the coat and pants, fast, agile and powerful. He has a 'Jekyll and Hyde' complex where Connors turns back after a while but is addicted to the formula. Poni_Boy said he isn't sure if it's just a simple addiction or maybe he accepts the Lizard as a way to get his arm back.

Wow. Hope that is in the teaser, but I doubt it. I bet that is some additional footage for the fans at Comic Con. Now of course, if so, it will leak down to the rest of us "not so lucky as to go" stiffs eventually. t:

Connors trying to gain his arm back, but easily being addicted to the juice and if the public eye pictures Spidey as a bad guy in the beginning as some reports have said, I wouldn't be surprised that Connors will try to become a "hero" to save NY from that "menace" and he instead becomes the villain.

Man, so pumped for this movie....as much as I talk about The Dark Knight Rises and how it will finally show us a GREAT CBM trilogy, my favorite superhero is still Spider-Man and I can finally be excited about seeing Spidey on screen

Man, so pumped for this movie....as much as I talk about The Dark Knight Rises and how it will finally show us a GREAT CBM trilogy, my favorite superhero is still Spider-Man and I can finally be excited about seeing Spidey on screen

Excited about TKR, but it's NOT Spidey! I am so hyped about this movie that I cannot stop watching the teaser. I cannot wait for it to come out in HD, and MAN I REALLY cannot wait if it teases a shot of the Lizard!!!!

*cannot wait for that POV portion in HD to get a better feel for it! but Man, use of more stunts, etc... darker storylines that does JUSTICE to the story that IS Spider-Man.. WOW.. Just.. freakin WOWWWW!!!!!!

I understand how someone would want to see Venom appear again, but I don't think we will be seeing Venom anytime soon in this new series, or even Eddie for that matter. I have an idea that OsCorp could play a BIG part with the villains in this entire new series, so I'm betting more on Electro, and maybe even Hydro-Man along with Kraven and Green Goblin over Venom.

Truth be told, if we ever get Venom, someone needs to do the right thing and make TWO films, one to focus on the symbiote and the other to focus on Venom.

Peters parents are tied to the symbiotes creation in the ultimate time line. with this much focus on his parents we may see traces leading to a venom story sooner then u think and it could be tied to oscorp aswell. I thought i heard that either eddies parents were cast or a young eddie was
It just feels like they know its a big universe and are trying to set up as much as possible so it flow naturally rather then just throwing stuff in

I hope eventually they redo (right the wrongs) of the symbiote/Venom's storyline in the new franchise. And I hope they DO IT RIGHT this time. Dark!

But that will come in its due time. Build the storylines. Vest us in the characters. Cannot wait!

See, that's why I wouldn't jump to conclusions that we'd be getting Venom. Now, it's likely that if Venom were to return in this series, it'd be the cancer suit, but if we're not positive that Peter's parents were scientists, then I wouldn't hold my breath.

Venom is needed one more time, yes, but I wouldn't be upset if he doesn't return in Webb's films.
