My view of that teaser is underwhelmed. I like the two leads and believe that they will do a good job but Sheen and Field look out of place, the CGI at the end was terrible, the movie looks too dark and serious for a Spider-Man flick.

Read the SDCC footage description. Not dark. Even Webb says the movie won't be dark, it will just be more grounded.

That's fine and good, but she's talking specifically about the teaser (Hence this thread) and that's how it came off.

I guess so. I think they really wanted to make the teaser have a much different feel so that audiences could take in all the differences at once. The teaser did its job in telling people that this is its own thing.

Considering this thread is specifically aimed at discussing the teaser trailer, keep the conversation in that direction.

Lol, thanks Jamie. Things were getting pretty bad (and pretty unnecessary).

Even Rhys didn't say it was dark, and he was damn drunk!

It seems dark in comparison to the previous trilogy.

It's more grounded... gives off a very Ultimate tone to me.

Even "My Little Pony" is dark in comparision.

Nah just kidding.

But this being "darker" than Raimi's films isn't really saying much.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed yet, but what was with the thread coming out the back of his neck in the trailer?

I'm very excited to see FINALLY the genuine Peter Parker onscreen but what's the deal with Aunt May's hair???????

Not your style, huh? Yeah, not everyone like the mid-age, slightly permed look.

I'm kidding. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Do NOT start arguing about Aunt May's hair! The subject is beyond unnecessary

Anyway, do you think that we'll get a Lizard poster before the next trailer?

Field doesn't look like the Aunt May I'm used to...but I figure they have to make everyone look younger in movies today or the teens won't go see them.

O_O We're now discussing Aunt May's hair? She still looks old, but not frail-old. I understand Aunt May has almost always been presented like that, but it never made much sense for me. Peter is in high school and his aunt and uncle look well... like his grandparents? Honestly I don't know how common that is or isn't but it never really struck a cord with me.

I've just checked the film's page on Wikipedia and it has the fake poster on it.

Shouldn't we notify them that's not the real poster
