Uh did you miss this?

I don't recall ever seeing the photo you just posted in the final cut of the film. Was that an officially released photo? Because you know they likely edited it to make him look more cut.

Possibly. Okay well bottom line is that he was not in Spider-Man shape. And clearly he was in worse shape at certain points of filming than he was during others.

^Agreed.

Andrew Garfield looks much more in Spider-Man shape than Tobey, it was possible for Tobey to get close to that (as seen in Spider-Ma... the first one) but he didn't. Let's hope Andrew sticks to his workout for the sequels.

No, there isn't this big break of 5 months. More footage is to be shown at movie-fest which is in August.

So they're basically reshowing all of the comic con footage. And this won't be nearly as strict (I'd imagine). Look for some more leaked stuff shortly after August 13th and 14th.

Is anybody here going to attend the event? If yes, please record it on a cam!

Raimi's version: no webshooters, altered origin, completely different Peter Parker, falls in love with MJ before Gwen, Gwen lives, Sandman kills Uncle Ben, no personality as SM, new yorkers love SM enough to give him a parade. Give me a break! Raimi was faithful to the costume and certain aspects of the comics, but by and large the films were not very faithful at all. Audiences should only be so lucky if Webb borrows from USM.

True as it is, Raimi got Spider-Man right only on the surface. He never really tried to dig deeper and actually exhibit what was really so special about the character.

I second this completley. He had the build of 616 Spider-Man overall.

You're clearly mistaken, I see no talk of a teaser trailer anywhere.

i agree Tobey was out of shape for SM3 but he's nowhere near fat. He was fine in SM2 and near perfect in SM1. (hello, has anyone seen the scene just after he gets bit and looks in the mirror?)

anyway on TAS, Garfield to me has a much better Spidey shape personally, and for me the shape he is in is perfect shape.

tobey was out of shape physically and mentally as he is phoning it in. the scene where he is crying over the dead harry a shocker.

I found the teaser trailer fine, I like the "crawling" spider sound when he moves in subjective view. I also like the line at the end : Anyone have secrets, the ones we keep and the ones that are kept from us.

I was thinking in the end POV scene, theres bits where it sounds like a snarling horse, is that from the wallcrawling?

If we want to get technical here about Peter Parker and the actors that play him, Spider-Man isn't over 6 feet tall.

But, I do agree that Tobey was a little out of shape for SM3. Was he the wrong build? No. He looked great in SM1 and SM2.
