I'm assuming the
bridge scene is the final battle. Either that, or it ends up in the sewer.

there is a whole generation of fans waiting to see spidey who were maybe too young to see the original spidey movie.

When you put it like that, it makes me feel old. :csad: It doesn't feel that long ago since the first Spidey in Raimi's trilogy was released.

When it's a HIGHLY HIGHLY succesful franchise, it is too soon. What is what Raimi's trilogy was.

sony has seen the trend of;
superman 3 to superman 4
batman forever to batman and robin

and decided to buck the trend, it is brave and further it is smart. if you have a franchise killer (and I'm sure SM4 would have killed this franchise) it takes DECADES to regain credibility

if the HD trailer for spidey is now online somewhere, then howcome the hype hasn't made a headline for it!!??? what am I missing?

I agree. And what I like about this interpretation of the suit, is that it looks as though it could have been made by Peter. The suit from the Raimi films (while being absolutely fantastic) looks too professional for a kid from Queens to have created on his own.
To be fair the ASM suit looks too advanced for some newbie to sew up also. I could cry that raised webbing is less advanced than having the webbing indented in the suit like ASM.

Love many things about the trailer. I just wish we would've gotten a bangin' practical shot of the actual Spider-man, instead of the lame cartoonish POV shot at the end.

when I watched SM1 there was a 4 year old sat next to me (who curled up into a ball in his dad's lap when goblin lays the smack down on peter at the climax :funny: ) well, now that kid is a teenage who the money and freedom to buy his own way in the movie theatre.

Isn't it messed up how, if you think about it, Gwen is working for her murderer?

SM3 already killed the franchise's credibility, so it was time to reboot. Although there are other ways to make new stories without reverting back to the origin...

I think it may be a good idea if I try my hand at creating both suits, and see which one I find is easier to produce on my own with the utilities I have and can use to my disposal. :cwink: :D

Apparently, this is still a leaked version.

I think this is good if ya think about it, now that there's a leaked version HD version online... they're more than likely going to release it officially.

Whole generation? i would hardly call 10 years a generation.

The time between Batman Begins and the first Batman was a generation, even Superman films to Superman Returns was a generation.

What Sony is doing is ********, seriously people shouldn't even a support of a movie that is obviously just trying say screw the fans and re has the same origin to make more movies.

I don't care if he gets biten in the Mohabi desert or in a Ice Cream truck, it still revolveds around a high school kid who gets bit by a spider in a lab and he becomes Spider-man.

This movie seems its just like the first spider-man , instead of Norman Oborne who is a friend to Parker and becomes villain, we have Connors and the Lizard. Stacy is like a hybrid of Mary Jane and Harry Osborne.

This movie is ******** , i hope this movie flops hard so Sony learns there lesson, and with The Dark Knight Rises and Avengers coming out that summer wouldn't suprise me if the ASM fails hard, because it certaintly isn't on the same level of potential as those movies.

Say if you were 3 years old when the first movie came out.

10 years on... you're 13.

It is a whole generation.

Lol! It's an endless cycle. :cwink::woot: And unfortunately we are just part of the conveyor belt. :csad:

They should not have rebooted this series so soon....

Even though I absolutely love the feel of the new film, I have to agree with you. It's too soon.

Then again, I care about the film rather than how many years separate it from the previous trilogy. I just think if they re-started at least two years later, it would be more welcome (similar to the span between B&R and BB).
