Not trying to call anyone out, I've just never understood the mentality of posting on a forum that'd dedicated to something that you dislike or are negative about. I'm open to opinions, but it seems like some people on here have an inkling of hope for this movie, so why waste time coming on here? I'm not trying to step on toes, just making an observation.

It's funny because about 2 years ago all of these people whining about complaints were digging an early grave for SM4 and trying to beat Raimi with that same shovel. It's pretty funny actually.

Haven't you been impressed with anything you've seen or heard though? I just ask because I've been lurking for a while and you always seem to pretty skeptical or outright negative. I'm not going to go ahead and say that this will be the best movie ever, but from what I've seen I'm pretty optimistic about it. The sizzle reel at the screening has definitely reenforced my hopes for the film. I just am asking to see if there's anything you are impressed by thus far.

Yeah, that's true. There seems to be more people in favor of this movie, which isn't a bad thing. I'm one of those people. In fact, I don't really have any major complaints about this movie.

People are just excited to see a Spider-Man that could possibly surpass the Raimi's films.

I have mentioned what I like on here...Emma as Gwen, Sheen as Ben, Lizard as the villain aside from his face and lizardfy plot, mechs (although I didn't mind organics), practical effects before I saw a ton of cgi, and Garfield as Peter.

Webb has to impress me. I am not taking a religious pilgrimage to his stoop to bow down to him just yet. I have said countless times in here...let's wait for the movie. It could be good, it could be bad. Who knows. If it's amazing I will be in here acting like a school girl. If it sucks I will have prepared accordingly.

It's like you're implying Raimi has set the bar high for Spider-Man.

How did you like the costume in the trailer?? I was initially against the suit when it was first released about this time last year but the more I have seen, especially the way it looks on film, it has certainly grown on me.

I agree with this post accept that there's more things I like about this movie then I don't, but that's me, but I'm not going to say the movie will be outright awesome when it's not even released yet. I saw the sizzle reel and I admit, even after seeing it it's hard to still stay skeptical or hell even optimistic, because what I saw in that sizzle reel certainly gave me the impression that this IS the Spider-Man movie I have been waiting for....which means that the sizzle reel did what it's suppose to do. However there is still alot that we havn't seen and we won't see until the movie is released, which by then we'll all have our different opinions on whether it is good or bad, hopefully more if not most for the former.

However it is at least reassuring to know that everyone involved not least Garfield and Webb deeply care for these characters, and want to do them just.

So let's carrying on having discussions and debates and what not us fanboys and fangirls do and then hopefully when the movie comes out we'll all be jumping for joy t:

I think those saying Webb is not worthy of 'devotion' yet have a very fair point. We have yet to see the finished film, and it could really go either. But, I do feel that what we've seen and heard is showing that this film may go the way of the smash hit.

The trailers we've seen, the feedback from the comic con and recent screening indicate that the film is on the right track. And because of the average prio spidey films (my opinion and I dont mean to start a compare/debate about the previous trilogy) I will remain optimistic and hopeful this film will be spiderman to me.

But I don't like the leg stripes, the lack of a belt area, the way the colour on the gloves is broken up and the inconsistent web patterns. The silver on the boots is distracting to me as well.

But I'm hopeful the movies content will draw me in so that I forget about all that...

That could very well just be for this movie given the latest game promo (which is based on, but takes place after the movie) So you may very well get your wish of a less lacking belt.

I know this is kind of late (since the trailer was released two weeks ago) but did anyone else notice that the person who unmasks Spider-Man is Captain Stacy?
I know we don't see the guy's face in the trailer but I doubt someone else will be wearing the same exact outfit...
