They totally should. Although I think Tomorrow Woman is human now. But they could always kill her off and bring her back in an android body again. :awesome:

I have to completely disagree with that. Without the Big Seven the Justice League doesn't exactly set the charts on fire. And frankly, almost every time, the Justice League is completely uninteresting without the Big Seven.

It's why I like the Avengers better, more obscure characters thrive as Avengers as opposed to wishing that they would go away in the Justice League.

What about the 80s post "Crisis" team? With Guy Gardner, Mr. Miracle, Fire, Ice, etc.?

They're starring in their own series now, JLI: Generation Lost. Or, as I call it, "the good Justice League series." I mean, it's good even with Judd Winick co-writing it. That's some impressive s***.

He meant in terms of an awesome Justice League without the Magnificent Seven. You know, as in a wtf are you talkin' bout Willis to HH.

I think Marvel's marketing the brand pretty well right now. "Avengers" is a pretty big name in comics lately.

Yeah I've never seen so many Avengers comics sold at my comic shops before. Usually it seems like it's me and 3 other guys getting them. But as soon as Siege began, that's when I noticed more buyers.

I know our "Avengers Day Party" here was pretty big. People I never see where up there partaking in it.

I personally love their titles, so I'm enjoying the 3 extra books and the limite Prime series.

I dropped Avengers after #1, but I spotted a word search online that's supposed to reveal the next member and "Kimota" appears in it. I'm guessing this is how Bendis and co. plan to reintroduce Marvel/Miracleman?

Not a fan of Bendis' Avengers, but I'd be very happy if this leads to an ongoing Marvelman title. Would be sweet if they could arrange a reprint of the Moore and Gaiman runs, too.

Could be B.S. but since the current arc involves alternate universes, you never know.....

God I hope Bendis doesn't get his filthy f**king hands on Marvel Man.

I don't really care about Bendis f***ing Marvelman up so much as I just don't want Marvelman to be on the team. I thought the Heroic Age was supposed to be about getting back to the classic Avengers. We only just saw this gimmick with the Sentry, for Christ's sake.

With Thor, why does the team even need marvelman??

I thought the Heroic Age was supposed to be about getting back to the classic Avengers.

Seems to me it's mainly about the villains no longer being in control. Plus Spidey, Wolvie and Noh-var aren't exactly "classic" Avengers...

Right, but they're also not huge icons within the comic world that people have been waiting to see new content from for decades now. I'm worried that if Marvelman winds up as an Avenger, the comic will basically become about him, same way the Avengers comics the Sentry was in became about him a lot of the time.

I'd rather see Marvelman as just a guy that flies above Earth touching down occasionally exploring the 616 with no allegiance to the Avengers or Marvel Villains. Just have him float above Earth scaring the s**t out of people for a while.

I'd rather see Marvelman relegated to his own continuity. The Marvel universe has enough Superman analogues, and Moore and Gaiman writing great stories back in the '80s doesn't mean squat to me if they're reintroducing him now in 2010. I liken it to DC's desire to keep inserting Kingdom Come stuff into their mainstream comics. Why is that necessary? KC was a great story in its own right, so just let it stand on its own instead of belaboring it into mundanity in the mainstream comics.

lulz :D

According to Bendis, Red Hulk (or "Rulk") will be joining the team "as the character most need of redemption. We will see where he fits in the Marvel Universe after all that he has done."

For realz. #6 will definitely be my last issue of Avengers, then. Kind of a relief. I've been struggling with whether I'll want to continue or not because, while the issues haven't been horrible, for the most part, they have been a bit mediocre. Struggle over, though! :)

I swear, it seems every announcement that the Marvel panel has made has completely disappointed me. In contrast, even though I already adored the DC panel, DC seriously is kicking their ass this year.

Does anyone actually still think that Bendis is a good writer?
