Ultimate Marvel is being pretty awesome under Bendis since it allows Bendis to go wild with creativity.

Joey Q just needs to leave the company all together, I'm secretly hoping for some major feud that makes him leave the company. Man's done alot of good for the company, but alot of bad IMO as well.

Bendis as EIC wouldn't be so bad. The guy actually has some good ideas he just has terrible execution skills. For example? Secret Invasion. Imagine it under someone else's pen. Imagine Abnett and Lanning getting to write that. It'd be orgasm worthy.

I don't think he's improving at all. In fact, he's going the other way. He's not getting better, he's getting lazier. He's complacent. He's got everyone at Marvel kissing his ass all the time. He's got no reason to improve. He's a top writer. His books are top sellers. He writes the top characters. Once you're at the top, the only way to go is down.

I'm glad I don't buy Marvel comics anymore...seems like a waste of money buying crappy stuff from writers like Bendis to me.

Bendis isn't writing every Marvel comic. They still publish plenty of great comics.

To his credit, New New Avengers has been good.

Of the two he's writing it definitely is the better one.

That's surprising. Bendis has not historically been good with magic.

Yeah he's still not great with it. But his signature style is less annoying coming from the cast of NA than Avengers.

I've liked the captions of all of the magic spells, it was a nice touch. The first NNA arc was put together well more than the Avengers arc which was one giant clusterf**k.

Aside from the Bendis speech, New Avengers is very well written. It's a surprising dichotomy between the awfulness of Avengers and the excellence of New.

It's really sad, but in the store yesterday I'd forgotten my card and only had so much cash on me. So I was limited in the number I could get this week. And when presented with the choice of Avengers Prime by Bendis, and I am an Avenger by various; I chose the latter. The Bendis speech, and Tony's ridiculous comments just made me go with the anthology book to see what happened with Justice and Firestar, and for the Nova story.

Eh, Avengers Prime was pretty good, but I'd probably have gone with I Am an Avenger, too. More bang for your buck, given that it's got 3 or 4 stories in it.
