Question: Is the Golden Army bad? Tech aren't they just following orders? Hell do they even have sentience or is it just machines under the princes command?

^From what i have heard so far on this movie they are just machine's, built by Goblins centuries ago for the war with Mankind, but they were never unleashed, at least not until Nuada unleashes them.

Oh right, cool, thats awesome, if they have that magnitude of power, then HB will have his hands full!

They were not inspired by anything in the comics as far as i know, i have read 5 of the HB TPB's and nothing in there resembles them, it was just an original idead by MM and GDT i think.

Have you ever seen the Night Warriors anime based on the Darkstalkers video game? The anime has a robot army with a resemblance to the Golden Army in HB2. The robot army is programed to eradicate all life when it reaches a certain point. When dormant, they were discovered and used by the Mayans.

Its possible that the robot army from Darkstalkers inspired GDT.

In the new TV spot, it seems The Golden Army do have personalities themselves, judging by one of them breathing hard just before unleashing its blade. This is just getting more and more interesting.

So that would mean it either takes awhile for the army to boot up or Nuada hits the button in one last action before being beaten.

Well, you know it could also be Hellboy versus the army and then the rest of the team going up again Nuada.

I think that is the more likely scenario, a defeated Nuada trues one last thing to wipe humanity out.

Having now seen the movie, I have to give a big bravo to all of the bad guys in the movie. Nuada was superb, as was Mr Wink and the Elemental, not to mention the tooth fairies. All of them were superb, and its a shame we wont be seeing any of them again in the franchise.

Would anyone else like to see them in the comics though?
