Any writers in mind for the backup?
The B-list character backup is currently the only reason I'm still reading Streets of Gotham. Dini's absence for a couple issues and the breaking up of this Zsasz plot has really made the main story suffer.tbh, I'm not a fan of the Manhunter backup. the entire backup feature in general I think is kinda weak. just a way to get us to read stories about B- and C-list characters simply because we wanna read a book like Streets of Gotham that have major players in them.
that said, I'd gladly pay the extra dollar for a Jason Bard or Slam Bradley backup. hell, throw both of 'em into one backup. that would rock.
I have to agree with Corp. I was fine with the Black Glove being very possibly responsible for the Wayne Family murders. Since thats from the Silver Age Batman Origin story, but having Thomas Wayne been living a fake life all these years is just massive *****ebaggery. I'm digging that Dr. Hurt is very possibly the 18th century satanist Thomas Wayne tho.![]()

Thomas Wayne Dr. Hurt isn't Thomas Wayne Bruce's father. Thomas Wayne Dr. Hurt is one of Bruce's great ancestors. I thought this was in the last issue of Batman and Robin.
That's what I love about Morrison's run, there are so many mysteries and ways to interpret it. For example...
I read on another forum an interesting theory. In 52 Wayne came out of Thorogal and stated that he had got rid of his demons. A poster had this idea that perhaps Dr. Hurt was a manifestation of those demons. It's a variation on the Hurt is the "devil" theory that's been floating around for a while.
Totally man I thought the same thing. Bruce exorcised his demons and they manifested into Dr Hurt, he's a evil Tulpa. It's similar to what Morrison touched upon in Fantastic Four 1234 where Doom is Reed's tulpa. After all Nanda Parbat is in Tibet, where all things are common concepts to Tibet Buddhist Monk. As for Sexton I think he'sThat's what I love about Morrison's run, there are so many mysteries and ways to interpret it. For example...
