Bryan Singer is to comic book movies as Uwe Boll/Paul Anderson is to video game movies. :wow:

But seriously, I've never even heard of this one.
he he. funny

uwe boll is like the worst director on this planet. :hehe:

I think that Bryan will probably stick to the thriller genre ie Prisoners. However, he has more of an inside track on Freedom Formula because of Bad Hat Harry's involvement.

Showtime, would you say that it's becoming more and more apparent that Singer won't be involved with the next Superman movie, at least not as the director?

With these recent "reports" that Singer might be "interested" in these other projects, it just seems that Superman is no longer a priority for him, either, nor does it seem that WB is banking on Singer to direct the next Superman movie.

I mean, if Singer was really keen on making the next Superman movie ( and continuing on from SR ), he wouldn't even be considering these other projects, especially now that it's been 3 years and he has already finished Valkyrie......

Not really. Has anyone ever won an Oscar for doing one of their films? No, I don't think so. :oldrazz:

That Uwe Boll comment is so off the mark it makes me want to eat my hat.

Don't forget to put ketchup & salt on it. Make it more easier to eat it. :D :D

You haven't been paying attention. :csad:

I hope he goes with the first movie we heard about because I don't want him to do another comicbook flick.

When its said and done, he might not being doing either.

Interesting write up on Hitfix.

n the meantime, Singer is reportedly in the running to direct the Mark Wahlberg thriller "The Prisoners" for Warner Bros. If Singer makes "Prisoners" his next flick, there will be a tremendous amount of irony if both studios, who swore they would never work with the director after difficult experiences on "X2" and "Superman," did exactly that. The filmmaker has the marketing staff at MGM to thank for his turnaround after they took his "left for dead" Tom Cruise picture "Valkyrie" and drove it to almost $190 million worldwide.

The part about Fox is common knowledge, but I had no idea WB said the same thing. Maybe they didn't, because I'm not sure how accurate Hitfix is.

''but I had no idea WB said the same thing''

they didnt.

Maybe we'll finally get a non-stuttering explanation of what happened now.

...or a Burtonesque answer:

Reporter: So what did happen with you and Superman?

Bryan: Well...well...Superman...I love Superman. Great opportunity...um...passion. I did do the sequel entirely in my head. Um. Yes. My head.

Again, Bryan will get a "Producer" credit on the sequel and Bad Hat Harry will be listed among the production companies.

Most likely, he'll say something to the degree of "I love the character of Superman and that world. And I'm happy with the film I made with Brandon and Kevin and everyone. But I'm honestly ready to move on and let someone else direct the next film with those guys."

Can't blame him for doing this, I enjoy his movies and thought valkryie was really good. Besides you guys have been saying for a while he wasnt coming back even though I'm sure WB tried. So its not really a surprise.

Didn't he actually mention that he already had the first cut in his head in some interview?

I'm interested to hear the details though. It was just last year this month where he said he fully intended to return. I'd like to know whats really happened in the last year.
