NO more Donner/Singer verse please...new theme music, new actors, new vision, new EVERYTHING...Hell I'd even go for the Tim Burton script originally worked. AT least it was a breathe of fresh air to the mundane crap.

Although the discussion has been pretty tame, for the most part...can we move this to the Superman Returns Forums? I understand this thread is about Bryan Singer, but maybe I should move this thread there as well then.

Since it appears rather slim that Singer will return to do the next "Untitled Superman" movie.....I think it might as well be moved to the SR threads.

Exactly.

For those still following at home, director Bryan Singer is still hemming and hawing about doing a potential followup to "Superman Returns."
The following is from a new interview with Total Film magazine when Singer was asked if he would be involved in the project: "I don't know, I don't know. There are still issues ... I just ... I just don't know. I don't necessarily...I don't know. It's one of those things where ... It's so weird talking about stuff unless I'm about to ramp up and shoot it."

So enlightening, Bryan, as usual.

I can't believe he's still at this "Unsure" stutter stage. Shouldn't he be able to at least admit by now that he's not doing it? Or is there gonna be some huge shock at Comiccon with him announcing another one?

His discussion about X-Men is certainly interesting though.

You know, we could sit here and break down what his quotes mean, but it just isn't fun anymore, is it?

There isn't much to interpret, as his unclarity is...well, very clear. What I don't understand is why he's still doing the awkward song and dance.

EDIT: I found this fairly recently.

X-CITED: Meanwhile, Singer confirms that his next movie will be a sci-fi fantasy "genre" film, in the vein of his previous work with X-Men and Superman Returns.

"It's almost totally in place, but I can't talk about it," he says. We ask if it starts with an "S" (there's talk of yet another Superman "reboot"). "I wish I could say, but I'm trying to nip it in the bud because I tend to babble when I'm interested and excited about something. And I'm definitely in the 'interested and excited' stage -- which is definitely better than the 'What the f--- do I do next?' stage.

"I can tell you that science fiction and fantasy, those are the films I lined up around the block to see as a kid. Those are the films I love to make."

It also mentions his "Prisoners" film is pretty much dead.

So he babbles when he is "interested and excited about something." And he babbles when he is asked about the next Superman movie?

Oh, Bryan. Just tell us what's going on. This game stopped being "fun" six months ago.

I think he wanted to do it. Had a script. They looked at it. Saw through him that really he wanted to do some star wars rip off. (hence battleships in space)
And zod...
And they said no.
