I think it pokes its head just above the 80% mark after a few more days.

I'm trying to remember the last time a movie had a lead character where he always chooses to do the right thing because it was simply the right thing to do. No angst, no thirst for revenge, no glory-hounding. It's kind of sad where having a simple good-guy lead is considered retro.

Yeah, it's very sad. I just started getting into Cap myself and that up there is the entire reason he's now my 2nd favorite Superhero (no one will replace Superman to me, but that's because Superman has been my hero since I was a baby).

Indeed,Sad But da*n true!!:(

Michael Phillips...gets it

" "Captain America" doesn't reinvent the genre so much as simply embrace the time and place that gave birth to the ordinary man turned super-soldier, equipped with a shield made of Vibranium. "

So Rolling Stone gave it a 2.5/4 and it's considered FRESH, when just a day earlier or so Slant Magazine gives it the same exact rating (2.5/4) and it's considered ROTTEN????

Am I missing something here?
It is the content of the review that matters, not the rating.

LOL Friends with benefits with the comeback from the bowels of 40% :p

I'll be honest, for a while, I was thinking: Oh man, this is gonna be Marvel Studio's first 'Rotten' film, the one just before the Avengers too! :S

But then I remembered, this is Marvel we're talking about :awesome:

I think when it's all said and done it'll be close to Thor on the meter.

STILL below 70%? Seriously?
F you rotten tomatoes.

Peter Travers actually written rather positively about Cap in his review, so his rating of 2.5/4 perplexes me. Thankfully, RT considers it as fresh but it also shows that sometimes they aren't very consistent.

Some of these rotten reviews shouldn't even be rotten... Since when is a C+ considered rotten???? :csad:

If a C+ is failing...then I would have never made it out of high school... :o
