OK, if you say so. Because it kind of looked like you were rubbing Transformers 3's "ridiculous money" in the faces of those who said the first two TF films were "terrible", and then gloating about TF3 setting a record for reaching the half illion mark. Silly me for thinking that.

The money is "ridiculous," next time I'll just call it "immense," and perhaps I won't come off as gloating. Take it how you want, however you would be just as "silly," for finding almost all of box office mojo's reports gloating in the same way for using the similar language when stating facts.(predictions or otherwise)

it's all in their opening paragraphs
Friday Update: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 decimated the midnight opening record last night, raking in $43.5 million at 3,800 locations. That alone would equal the 13th highest-grossing opening day ever. The previous midnight record holder was The Twilight Saga: Eclipse with $30 million at around 4,000 locations, followed by The Twilight Saga: New Moon with $26.3 million at 3,514 locations.

Working its final movie mojo, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 soared into the record books with the highest-grossing opening weekend ever. The series finale drew $169.2 million on around 11,100 screens at 4,375 locations, dethroning The Dark Knight's $158.4 million.

I wonder who one would imply mr. Gray is gloating for and against...all those fancy words he uses..why can't he just be straight forward and state the facts.

Like I said, you're welcomed to take it as you will, most people are sensitive to such things. I just wouldn't compare that to some of the stuff I've seen round these parts.

I think it just got another fresh as well! Almost there folks!

Almost at 70% Only maybe 1-2 more fresh reviews!

Actually, between 2 to 3, depending if they round off or not. This is without any negative reviews of course also.:yay:

11 of 15 Top Critics like it though, which is a very nice 74%

Darn it looks like we got another negative review and will be droping back down to 67%.

Seems we can't go on streak of more than 2 in a row with a negative rearin it's ugly head.

Going to work until 10. Around 10 I'll check the meter and hopefully it's in the mid 70s.

Then it's off to the midnight premiere!

I already called mid 60's last night, I say we hit 70 tomorrow :p

I still think that Cap has a very good chance of being number 1 this weekend. Using Box Office Mojo I was comparing Tranformers 3 trending to Potters trending in the second week and they are not all that different. So, judging by that and taking into account that TF3 had practically no competition in it's 2nd weekend, it is very believable that Cap could be number 1 this weekend. Even if it doesn't though, hopefully it will just do well.

So Rolling Stone gave it a 2.5/4 and it's considered FRESH, when just a day earlier or so Slant Magazine gives it the same exact rating (2.5/4) and it's considered ROTTEN????

Am I missing something here?

Maybe we can bring it to their attention and they'll change the Rolling Stone review from fresh to rotten lol.

Yeah that sounds like a good.....waaaaaaaiiiiiitttt a miiinuteeee!!!!! :p

I love that pretty much all these reviews state that Chris Evans is CA's MVP. The thing I loved most about Iron Man is that I never, ever stopped rooting for Tony Stark. Too often in superhero movies, I tend to be drawn to the villain over the hero, but here, it seems like Steve Rogers is given the spotlight. In all his corny, good old boy glory.

That's the Captain America movie I wanted. More than anything else.

Also, as a major Chris Evans fangirl, it makes me all giddy to see the movie tomorrow ;)

This same topic has been discussed multiple times over the last several pages, and your absolutely right that there seems to be some inconsistencies with their grading system. However, it is still unclear to me if the person submitting the review controls wheter it recieves a Rotten or Fresh rating or if Rotten Tomatoes does. If it is the reviewer himself that selects the rating then yeah, they can have the same score and different ratings and still have it be fair. So, it just depends on who is in control of the Rotten or Fresh ratings in my opinion. Does anyone know for sure?

I think some of us have contacted them already, but we got what sounded like a canned response.

RT. is at 33 Fresh now, but still 67%. One more and they will have 50 reviews accounted for.

By tomorrow there will be well over 100 reviews. Seeing how there's a bit of a "group think" among critics, while statistically it could still go rotten, I don't think that will happen. I think it could end up in the 70's, but worse case I think it will stay above 60% for a "certified fresh" rating.

Yeah, I believe it will end up somewhere's around 72 -73% freshness when all is said and done.
