This was before his upgradea and his super adaptability. He has been immune for a few years now.

Man... hate to keep questioning but I didn't know that and that again adds a whole new level of difficulty to the character. What ways can Hulk be beat? If we're going with Savage, he can't be overpowered (that I know of) and his mind can't be tampered with. I guess he could be outsmarted but it'd be very difficult to get a win out of that. Man, even just as Savage Hulk he's teetering on the tuber bar. I'm still okay with him, but he's real close.

Though the more I think about it Anti-Venom's ability to remove any mutation could be great against the Hulk. It's already proven that he can drain the radioactivity from Spider-Man to make him lose his powers, same can debated for Hulk. Interesting.

I just asked over in the stupid questions thread and it seems that in order to drain mutations and such for a person, Anti-Venom basically sticks his symbiote tendril finger thingy's into you and just starts to drain it. It seems to be a fairly quick process.

I'll say potential to all three.

Cool, so so that finishes that up... mostly. However, I just remembered that we've already approved Eddie Brock as Venom. So I guess the real question is, do we want Brock as Venom or Anti-Venom? He has more perks as Anti-Venom and it'll differ him from Gargan Venom, so I say go with Anti-Venom.

How is Gargan's Venom different from Eddie?

More malicious. He's let the symbiote take complete control and actually eats people now. So if we had both, between Gargan, Carnage, and Hybrid... Eddie would be the wuss and least effective of the symbiote ladder. I think the Anti-Venom suit gives him the edge to not only play with the other symbiotes, but to surpass them. His invulnerability to fire and sonics and his draining powers has potential to send him through quite a few rounds.

And being that you agree with the Anti-Venom, that's 2 votes, so I'll go ahead and make the change on the list. Phaed, if you have any major issues with it just say so, we can debate it.

And just so everyone knows, we only have 6 lists left: Thunderbolts, X-Men, X-Other, X-Villains, X-Men 2099 (to be expanded to other 2099 probably), and a small Misc. Other section.

After that I figure we'll look at the numbers, debate on any Potentials we want to replace Keepers with, narrow the number down to where we really want it, and call the contest list finished.

Also, I know last season there was some talk of changing things up this season and making it a team. Any interest in doing that? After everyone gets their character list they can team up their people in groups of 2 and have each match 2 vs 2.

Just thought I'd bring it up for consideration. I'm not sure yet.

Growing Man - I'm borderline. I could be pursuaded to keep him.
Ultimus - Does nothing for me, but I can see the potential there.

Kurse - I like him but his invulnerability along with the rest of what comes with him just pushes it for me. I'm thinking too uber.

Thor Girl - Good pick, but not knowing how long she was replaced by the Skrull makes it hard to decide what she's experienced and what she's not and such. Too many questions.
Pluto - Too uber in my opinion.

I think we should keep it the same as usual. If it was a season following a season that just ended, I might go for a team-up; but, with it being over a year since we had one of these, the classic style is probably the best.

Regarding the Hulk list, number 164 is skaar not scaar.

The current Thor is questionable because he supposedly does have what is now the Thor power which is an incredible upgrade. However, he has shown little signs of it except for a few cases here and there. Certainly, resurrecting all the Asgardians in one go was quite phenemonal. Really, he seems to be fine in other comics because he is often written as underpowerred but if we were written correctly to his true potential he should be beyond Odin.

If we are going with Savage Hulk, it would only be fair to go with classic Thor or current Thor as written outside of his own comic.

Here is my opinion as a collector and fan of Thor comics

Durok the Demolisher - I had him last time and he was taken out using the Ragnorak story. He is very good but he can be defeated.

Kurse - He is not too uber because of his limitation which he has no other powers. he is an ultimate tank a bit like the Juggernaut but there are ways to put him away. One thing that was really not explainned however was how he was defeated in ragnorak. He just was dead all of a sudden in one panel.

Pluto - Again, I had Pluto and he did not win it but I forget how he was defeated. He is defenitely uber but he has been defeated before and most of his fighting was based on sending out minions and not battling himself.

Fenris Wolf - the mythological fenris certainly would be too uber or as he was portrayed in the last pages of the Thor comic where he eats all of Asgard. However, the way he was shown before that was as a creature who gets winded because of a kick to the stomach by Captain America ..... which all in all was ridiculous.

I'll get to the Thor list later. My problem with Pluto is he's either waaay uber...or, he has limitations outside of his hellish realm. And, there is a dispute as to either. I think I fought him three times last season, and there wasn't any proof either way, and for that reason, I would say he needs to be left off the list.

I defeated him in the first season but I can't remember by who. (Iron Man? or somebody else who is good) As I recall of the match it was a hell of a match to get him eliminated.

As for teams, I wouldn't like the idea of having to depend on someone else to win a match. I would also hate to see a time when I couldn't put up a reason for the win, and it cost someone a player. At least now if we don't do it then we suffer the consequences only and not anyone else.

I think by teams, JH meant that your characters would be paired up. Which I guess means if you lose a match, you lose both characters.

I think they should have the chance but I'm not attached to any of them (as the first Thor I read and liked them in was in the Thor S.I. tie-in). They have strenght, endurance, stamina, and all that, but they also have ages of experience and knowledge of warfare at their disposal. Even if we do have people like Thor... Hogun, Fandral, Volstaff, Vidar, Balder, and Heimdall are all great additions that really have a chance to make it through some great rounds. They're all Asguardians, but they're individuals with their own little unique traits that make them individuals.

I say keep them all.
