Hey it's bugging the tar out of me that Daredevil's out of order, but i don't feel like renumbering 400 sum characters. We'll just add a note at the top of the list when we post it for everyone to start their draft lists.

Holocaust is in the Exiles section (because that's where he last appeared before being snorted by Hyperion).

Mikhail Rasputin - His main power is teleporting through dimensions, which is useless here as he can't leave the location. Minor leaving, such as nightcrawler's teleportation, should be okay, but that's not how Mikhail's powers work. Any other powers are vague and not well defined. I like the character but I think he'd be part useless and part headache for this tourney.

I'm okay with not drafting her from the Potential list, but let's finish up whatever misc. characters we come accross first before digging into that mess of characters.

Provided Phaed's suggestions were definate yeses on his part, that puts Ord and Sage on the Keep list and Mikhail on the Drop list. I went ahead and added the two newbie X-Characters to the Misc. section. I may go back and add them in their proper sections after we pick through the Potentials if I choose to do that with everyone. It's a lot of work I don't feel like messing with, but we'll see. So for now, any late additions to the list will be in misc.

I'm tapped out for character ideas. How about you W? And Phaed, do you want to take some time to root through your handbooks or are you ready to just sort through the Potential list? I'm willing to wait if you'd like to take some time to do so?
 
Yeah, I want to sort through the Handbooks once and make sure we haven't missed any cool characters. That's where I found Ord, and I'm sure there might be a few others in the A-Z Handbooks. Those should be the only ones I have to go through.

Please don't....I hate the Ultimate line and if you suggest it then why not include what if's as well.

By the way pls drop Hulk 2099; he sucked and is no different from the Hulk except he is noticeably uglier.
 
I agree on Hulk 2099, and he's a lot weaker than Hulk. He was killed by lazer fire.

I'll try to get to this list today. I have to get my girls ready for the sitter and if I have time after that I'll try to get to it. If not, then maybe while on lunch. If not then, then maybe after work late tonight. We'll see how it goes.

And if I'm not mistaken, that Vulcan is in the Cosmic section (if it's Gabriel Summers). And I thought we had Marvel Boy in here? Maybe under Captain Marvel (his current name)? Unless this is another Marvel Boy. I'll look into it later.
 
I'm neither hot or cold on the people on this list. I just put down names of characters that had some decent attributes and could possibly make it through a few rounds of our competition. Dropping Hulk 2099 is fine with me; I just wanted to throw him out there, since we had discussed 2099 characters. And, I did take a glance through my two Ultimate Handbooks, and nobody stood out to me. I just wanted to make sure nobody else wanted them included.
 
I'm a purest, leave Ultimate out.

I have no opinion on Hulk 2099.
 
I loved Ultimate Cap and Hawkeye in Ultimates 1 and 2, but not enough to include them. Leave them out.

Does anyone have any wish to include anything from the Squadron Supreme? I'm guess the original is a better pick and more related to the 616 than the current. I've never read them and don't care about the characters, but I thought I'd mention it in case you guys want to consider it. We've approved Power Princess and Speed Demon, I think both were previously from that world or have something to do with it, and we approved the Exiles alternate version of Hyperion.

Sundown - I'm borderline with this guy. He seems really cool, but almost a bit too uber. He held his own against Spidey, the Avengers, FF, and Daredevil simoultaneously, but it was when they were all novices. He's potentially class 100 strength, heals instantly, flies, teleports, grows to 50 stories tall, and potentially more though it isn't shown. I could be pursuaded either way.

I don't remember approving Hyperion from Exiles. Isn't that character waaay too uber, especially how he was portrayed in that book?
 
OMG! We did approve him. I have reservations with that version. I think of all the characters we currently have, he's the most uber of the uber.
 
I think he's definately up there. The reasoning for keeping him was the same for Sentry and a few others. He's insanely powerful but can be taken out by regular leveled characters. He's definately uber powerful but he was beaten by Gambit once and Blink the second time. A charged staff took him out and Blink teleported sand into his body. He can take a lot of physical assaults but something creative like that is a one trick win it seems.
 
The sand barely slowed Hyperion down. And Namorita broke his neck, turning his head all the way around, and he laughed it off.

Only when Blink teleported his own beams into his back did he die. And he still came back from that.

Hmm, I must have remembered that wrong. And now that I think about it it was the teleporting his beam into him FOLLOWED by gambit's energized staff that took him out.

Hmm... I like him but maybe he is too uber. He's as powerful as Sentry and the rest, but he has no obvious weaknesses, which is how we let that level of character in.

Alright, I'm with Phaed. We'll remove him, and if W's okay with it, I'm adding Sage onto the Exiles section so I don't have to renumber the whole list.

And by the way, these are all absolute Keeps for me. I can see some possibilities of moving Dog Brother #1 and Tiger's Beautiful Daughter to potential, but I'll probably debate to have them added when we start that there also, so I decided to just keep them as Keeps on my list and save myself the hassel.
 
Also, do we have any problems with included multiple versions of a single character? I know we have Husk (AoA) instead of the main one, and Blink and Sabretooth from Exiles, but what about others? I'm mostly thinking of the AoA version of Nightcrawler. I don't want to replace the regular Nightcrawler for him, but the AoA version is cool because he's a lot more cruel and likes to use his teleportation in harsher ways, such as taking heads and fingers off of people's bodies by teleporting just bodyparts. I think that's awsome.

Chamber (AoA) - The Chamber we've included is Decibel from New Warriors. This could be a good alternative for those who miss the original Chamber. He's similiar but more battle ready and war torn. And just cool.
