Ok, matches are up. (Of course, I completely forgot to use the CoMarvels name...AGAIN!) They went up pretty quickly, because I got all the pictures ready the day before.

Well... I've got two fights this week. And I'm looking forward to two wins.

Unfortunately I'll still lose one of my characters.

ATTENTION

Phaed, W, and I have been talking and we've decided to take an initiative. Franklin Richards hasn't been on the hype since the 5th and we hate seeing his characters fall away due to neglect. However, due to the fact that being away from the hype this long is very uncharacteristic of Franklin we want to be understanding of whatever it is that's keeping him away while protecting his characters at the same time. So here's what we've decided to do:

1) I've performed another draft, handing out all of Franklin's characters to the rest of us (minus Phaed who wished not to receive any more characters) to debate. These characters become yours for now on.

2) The exception would be if Franklin returns soon with a good reason for his absense. To just not show up is inexcusable, but if he has a legit reasoning in his personal life for not being around then we don't want to punish him. So if he returns soon and wishes to play, he will be returned all his characters, including those we debate to a win.


A PM has been sent to Franklin detailing this and we hope he's well and returns, but in the event he doesn't or just wishes not to play, his characters are yours for the taking, treat them as your own because chances are, they will be.

The draft went as follows. Phaed did not wish to receive any more characters and since the numbers don't add up, I chose to only receive 2 characters instead of 3. If your character's name is in RED that means the character has already advanced into round 2. Way to go. If your character's name is in GREEN that means your character is fighting this week... GET A DEBATE UP!!! All losses thus far have obviously been removed from the list. The rest of the names have upcoming matches still this round.

As for the draft itself I think WitchKing got the best deal, though I think everyone got a good deal of characters Hellstormer may be the least unfortunately but the Grey Gorgoyle's no slouch so that's a good draft. And while I only got 2 characters the fact that I got Super Skrull thrills me! I'm not a big magic fan but Talisman is good so that's cool.

As for my new characters, meh. I like Karnak but I have never been much of a fan of Johnny (Purple Man seems okay but nothing to blow your skirt about). Besides I thought he lost against Medusa or was that both of Franklin's characters and he chose Johnny?

Before I invest too much time on my match without being sure, I need clarification on Bloodwraith. He was always an average sized character with his ebony sword but in his last (and only appearance shown as) he was an oversized character after he absorbed all the souls from Slorenia. Would he be the typical version?

You would want the Bloodwraith BEFORE Slorenia, since from what I understand, the current version cannot leave that place. It would make the character kind of null and void.

As I state in my opening argument, we'd obviously disregard that limitation. It'd still be the huge Bloodwraith.

It is actually my opponents character, and yes he is bound to Slorenia because of the Scarlet Witch.

It just reminded me of a few weeks ago where Sasquatch (Exiles) would have been more powerful as her latest version as she was powered up by Tanaraq being the dominant mind and she was like that for at least a few issues, while Bloodwraith was only shown fighting and moving around (really didn't show much) for one issue while being powered by all the souls of Slorenia.

I responded to your PM about my thoughts but I figured I'd mention them here.

The thing is Bloodwraith in Slorenia is limited to Slorenia. He is unable to leave due to the Scarlet Witch. However, I think we can make an exception in that our 'magical powers' can better Wandas for the sake of using him in the tournament. However, I'd think it's up to the opponant to decide how his being removed from Slorenia will effect his powerlevels. I've not read that arc of the Avengers but I'm pretty sure his powerlevel at that point is tied to Slorenia somehow.

So I don't think there's a problem with it, provided his removal from Slorenia wouldn't suddenly cause death per Scarlet Witch's spell or anything.

If Phaed thinks he's best used prior to that arc and I think he's okay during, then I guess we'll have to wait for W's opinion to break the tie.

****! I could have debated for Jack of Hearts and won. It completely slipped my mind cause I was doing my debates and I wasn't sure of her Phoenix Echo.

Any chance we could do a rematch since neither side debated?

You have to have Midnight Ice agree to that.

Well, I don't really think its needed. Mainly because the lack of debates was both our faults. We were both on here and debating other matches, and for whatever reason and random chance we both forgot to debate. I know I was waiting until the confusion over if I owned that character cleared up, but I still forgot. I'm not even saying this because I won the match, if I lost I wouldn't ask for a rematch.

BUT I think I have shown that I am a fair sport, and am doing this for fun more than I am about winning (although that would be nice too ), I will agree to a rematch if you really want one and everyone else is ok with it.

I have a question. I've been reading the debates, seeing who still needs to get theirs in, and while reading the opening debate to JH's Elektra vs. Crusader match, wondered the following: In the final issue of Secret Invasion, doesn't all of the heroes who have been abducted return, including Elektra? So, wouldn't this be Elektra after just returning from being captured?
