With Round 1 officially in the books, here is the final outcome of the Hobbit Brigade.
Some major disappointments early on. The biggest upset for me was losing Juggernaut to Warlock (Phalanx). I still feel like I should have won that one. But the biggest disappointment on my behalf is losing Nova, as I feel I could have done so much better on that match and could have won it. I was distracted by not having World Mind due to a couple issue gap of where the deadlines fell when he had it before and got him back just recently. However, I overlooked all the other awsome things Nova had going for him due to my disappointment and let the defeat take me. I could have won it if I tried harder. And he was my First Round draft pick, so that one hit me pretty hard.
The matches I feel the most accomplished in winning (because I didn't think I had a shot) was Kaine's defeating Deadpool. It was a lot of fun to write but I expected the defeat... but in the end I ended up smoking him. That was an unexpected shock and I think my favorite win of the round. Other notable wins I didn't expect was Junkpile's defeating Gambit and Titan defeating Punisher. I will say the win I think I'll savor the most this round is, due to the playful rivalry, Prince of Orphans defeating Phaed's Chrome.
And to my joy, all of the Immortal Weapons that I own have advanced
(Fat Cobra, Prince of Orphans, and Davos). I did lose the Iron Fist villain, Zhou Cheng, but it was a great match that went into a rematch, so no real regret there. He made a good showing.
And here's the final layout of how my wins and losses went including all the added characters I gained throughout the season. 52 characters. 36 wins and 16 losses (and 4 of them were to myself). That's what... about 65% if I had to guess? Never have been very good at figuring percentages out. I'll have a new chart set up for round 2 and I'm excited to get the 2nd half of the game started
