The Official Day Break Discussion Thread

Will reruns of According to Jim and George Lopez really get bigger ratings than Daybreak? Let's hope they bring back Lost earlier so go back on they're original programming promise of no Lost weeks off once it comes back, just like when they said Daybreak would see a conclusion.

Episodes are available online of Daybreak in a couple hours.

Aw, ABC is the worst ever! It clearly says "New Episode Available at 2 A.M. PST." Those betches.

You know....I bet you could say betches like dozens of times in a PG or PG-13 movie. :whatever: kids today.

I kind of feel resposible for the cancalation... I keep forgeting the show was on. I love Taye Diggs too.

If you don't have that nielsen ratings box on your tv....it doesn't really matter if you watch. It doesn't go into the ratings. On a related note, those boxes should come free with every tv you buy.

I never knew that. How long have the Neilsen ratings been going on anyway?

Boo, who bothers with those dumb boxes anyways?

....I imagine at least 20 million peeps..I think the real number is like 40-80?

Even it was I couldn't watch it. :(

Only people in the US can watch it in on the website. :cmad:

Black women aren't even the target audience for this type of show.

In this case they were. I'm sorry but the only man who can pull of having a no black female lead for this long and not piss black women off is Mr. Denzel Washington.

I can't believe they freakin canceled one of their only good shows!?!?!?!

This was one of the finest shows on tv next to 24. ABC is run by idiots.

So...basically...black women are racists.

Mwhahahahahaha!

Bravo UK are going to be showing this, so I'll be able to see all the episodes after all.

There are not enough black women in this country with neilsen boxes to get this show canceled. People in general weren't watching.

Ok, just decided to check the ABC website to see if one of the two new episodes (that should have aired by now) are online and was unable to find anything information about Daybreak at all, let alone the two episodes we have yet to see. Thanks alot ABC!

Hold The Phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did They Cancel The Show?????????????????????????????

that sucks. I really wanted to see further, especially after the last episode. But i honestly did keep track of watching the show every week. I always download it online :)

It's a crime against humanity when a great show like Day Break is canceled while shows like America's Top Model go on for so long.

After watching the shows on the air in place of Daybreak, I'm even more upset. I didn't see smile during In Case of Emergency, it's painfully bad, watched Knights of Prosperity, the best part of the show was Mick Jagger showing off his house.

Quote:
Taye Diggs’ TV series “Daybreak,” has been cancelled due to low ratings. One demographic who refused to support this series was African-American women; because Diggs’ girlfriend on the show was non-black. Their lack of support was instrumental in the numbers being down and the show getting the boot. This same scenario was responsible for “Kojak,” starring Ving Rhames getting axed, his love interest was also non-black on the show. Black women are sending Hollywood a powerful message. ‘If you want our support, cast black actresses opposite black men in your shows.’

that's a dumbass reason. first of all, im pretty sure black WOMEN weren't the target audience for this show. secondly, no one can blame the writers for writing something that's actually real and takes place in the america of today.

does anyone know if those new episodes will ever show up online?
