Another 4.2 epicenter in Berkeley just occurred. That's two within the past 6 hours or so.

Not very long but a very sudden strong jolt.

Haven't had a big quake in LA in a long while now. It's kinda scary, because the longest it waits I'm thinking the bigger it'll be when it hits. Agh...

It's kinda eerie because a few days ago I saw in the news that here in Texas they felt a small 4.0 tremor on the Richter Scale. It's been an extremely long time since we've even had one.

At our college campus if you get caught outside the library during the Earthquake drill, you're screwed. They stop you and tell you to stand in a designated safe zone where you stand for around 30 minutes while they run a practice search and rescue drill.

I'm in Washington, We've got two fault systems to worry about. the Cascade Subduction Zone that is capable of giving us a 9.0 megathrust Earthquake, and the Seattle fault, which is a simple East-West Oriented thrust fault running from Seattle (duh) to Bremerton. Destructive Earthquakes have occurred from both, and we're expecting our own big one here sometime in the near geologic future.

CNN 7.3 earthquake strikes eastern Turkey near the city of Van.

Apparently there's been another earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter Scale near the islands of Fiji.

Even I felt a little shake here in north Texas, I thought I was shivering at first.

Yeah I heard some people in Texas felt it.

Apparently it was the strongest quake in Oklahoma state history. There was a 3.2 earlier in the Bay Area as well.

A ton of earthquakes happened today in SoCal and now El Salvador was apparently hit with a 7.4.

The National Weather Service has issued a warning for coastal areas of British Columbia, southern Alaska, Northern California, Oregon and Washington state. It says the warning area includes Craig and Sitka, Alaska

Holy....

There's been dozens of aftershocks as well. Yesterday I was getting 4.1-4.5 quake alerts like clockwork about every hour. Wonder what's going on up there.

7.5 Magnitutde Earhtquake Hits Off The Coast of Craig, Alaska

(CNN) -- A 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Alaska early Saturday morning and a tsunami warning is in effect for portions of British Columbia, Canada, and southern Alaska, officials said. There were no initial reports of damage but the West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center said that a "tsunami with significant widespread inundation of is land is expected."
