Dude seriously, even if the dudes are pulling their hair out waiting for monday, if you do have a HD link give it up.

Not doing so would be cruel and inhuman. There are people outside the US who don't even have an option of seeing NATM.

Anyway hunter, zero and others even if Fox did drop the ball it is clear that some other factors were involved here. They were rusing to get this thing out and had to delay it at least a week and then we were not sure if we would get it at all before Christmas. So obviously there was some confusion with marketing not knowing what was going to happen. Check mattc's posts to see what was going on behind the scenes.

Ok so obviously with the late completion, remember the trailer was shipped seperately from NATM in its own can.

Fox tried to get us something. I bet it will be online on Monday.

Ok we have registered our opinion, ok now lets pull back a little. When people start talking about boycotting a movie because they have to wait two days to see a trailer, I mean what is that. I want the movie to succeed so we can get more.

It was in our best interest that Fox release the trailer online.

They may have made the decision in a bustle to get it out to go the movie route first and try to drum up buzz for NATM, ok bad move for us, maybe good move for them.

No one always gets what they want all the time.

Having said that, they should release this thing no later than Sunday.

However because of the Holiday it might not be until Tuesday, in which case I have left instructions with Miss Hatee to to make sure the Rothman doll I supplied her with feel the pain of the online fans.

By the way Fox the foreigners are really hurting here, bad move for them.

For the last time: trailers, teasers and general promo material are not subjected to Copyright Laws in the USA. They fall under the "fair use" cathegory.

To let it be really clear: there is no such thing as a BOOTLEGGED trailer.

Open a law book before you start givin "directions" just because you have a mod status. Even Wikipedia will do.

Sorry, but that sounds like a load of ****, from fans that see themselves as "the important component" of the audience. I'm sorry, you are few, BUT loud. I see them simply following the plan they used last time, and IMO, that plan worked.

Actually, I'm talking consumer ethics. not really fanboyism. I for one have always stated that fans have NO ownership whatsoever over these movies and their characters. They can, as moviegoers, expect a good film with good acting and good special FX -- something that F4 was slightly lacking in.

I DO have a right as a moviegoer to make such assertions. Look up there and tell me where I'm talking about fanboyism and them owing us anything?

I'm not, you're creating a straw man from my argument and attempting to reason against that. but that's not my argument. My argument is that studios are making movies that are marketing tools, and not films like good cinema should be. Fantastic Four was rife with things that took you out of the film -- this is a film critique, not a source material fanboy critique.

Next time read my argument more closely and see what I'm saying before you decide to come on and tell me what I'm saying.

Does anyone find it slightly ironic that Fox approached Singer after X3 to see if he'd do an X4? Yeah, Fox always knows what they're doing and never shows a sign of perhaps making am istake.

It doesn't matter what the law books say. If the studio asks us not to post it, we don't post it. That way they don't get mad at us, and they continue to give us exclusives and sneak peeks.
