i just saw the teaser tonight.

it was ok, really just showing some special effect shots of the surfer, which looks awesome btw by the things they showed he could do, and great looking shots of human torch.and it was very well done towards the end with the drama when the surfer lifts johnny torch up higher and higher and...

too bad the audience didnt seem to give a crap. im surprised i did, i hated the first one.

you mean with more movies from different companies?

Techinially it already has begun since the WB did this with the first Harfry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire Teaser.

Wowzers. :wow:

Marvel is going to be having a REALLY good summer!

If Fox had so much FAITH in this movie they would want EVERYONE POSSIBLE to see this Teaser. This is the way I feel & nothing will change it.

It's good that you make so much sense. :whatever:

Out of frustration, I might have added this to the list of reasons to keep on disliking Fox.

Because I am a filmmaker, it does make me respect them just a little bit. I mean, trailers especially go through so much scrutiny on the internet these days that anyone putting one up probably is biting their nails waiting to see what people have to say about it.

Film is a motion medium, and was never intended to be seen frame-by-frame by the viewers. Some of the old school filmmakers never even watch a film more that once. I don't have that discipline, but when I watch a film I tend to keep that in mind.

I'd like to see this trailer, but man. Props for being stuck to your guns on this issue, Fox.
It's too bad I generally rent comedies, or I'd go check out Night at the Museum.

This just adds to the excitement. It's also a great marketing move. The trailer is available to see...go buy a ticket to Night at the Museum. Very smart. It also keeps the talk and speculation online at a high level. Then they release the trailer, then the posters, etc...

My friends try, lol. Oh well, at least this one isn't so blurry...

Bootleg trailers are verboten-Dew

Thanks for the link. This trailer does look very promising, and as a Marvel fan who is severely disappointed by the first installment, I really hope Story can redeem himself and make a worthy sequel that does Fantastic Four justice. If FF2 turns out to be great, then Marvel will have an unforgettable summer of 2007.

ok trailer, couldnt really see. but johnnys "that is so cool" line is awesome haha

Things are getting better. We moved from the blurry one to the can't see **** cause it's too dark one.

Cool trailer. I wonder if Surfer himself will save Johnny from that fall or if Johnny flames on at the last second.

I want Johnny to flame on at the last second. It's supposedly the fist appearance of the Surfer, he NEEDS to be seen as a menace first.

Thanks for posting this!

The teaser really looks awesome. I just hope they haven't given too much away. That would have been a great scene to see in the actual film like Johnny's chase scene in the first film. That was also ruined by seeing too many shots of it beforehand.

It adds to everyone being pissed of not excited and it isn't smart,it's isolating 90% of the fanbase that don't even have the option to see it with NATM not to mention leaving the others that go for the teaser feeling like cheap blackmail from Fox,no other company has bothered with anything so stupid

What if Johnny chased SS because SS

caused the helicopter to crash?

Uh...Maybe that's a stunt person? I'm sure you've heard of those.

I've no doubt that Doug Jones performed all the character interaction work (i.e. acting) himself. Whether he did all the action scene/stunt work himself or not, I don't know. And it makes no difference. You think that's actually Toby McGuire or Christian Bale in every action shot you see in their films?

There's no one other than Jones being credited with anything involving the Surfer other than the effects studio. And USA Today (basing their article on an official Fox press release) specifically credits the voice to Doug Jones.

Hellmistress knows what she's talking about. We have no reason whatsoever to think otherwise.

Which was why I specifically posed the question TO hellmistress (or someone who knows for sure "what they're talking about") especially considering that this - "Doug Jones and WETA Digital bring the Silver Surfer to life for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver" - was tagged under the pictures I posted, but hey, maybe that's the stuntman's name, too!:cwink:
