The OFFICIAL FINAL CRISIS THREAD

arent the "guardians" of the star saphires the zamorans?

I don't know, maybe. If that was revealed in GL, I would've missed it because I only read GL for the SCW crossover.

i thought that was kind of implied when the zamorans decided that the influence of the saphire stone was too much and they forged it into rings so the bearer could better control its power

Again, that sounds like GL material. I was only reading GLC before SCW, and I've gone back to only reading GLC after it.

totally was... art was great on that... daniel acuna

Yes, the Zamarons are the "Guardians" of the violet rings. They were, after all, an offshoot of the original Oans.
The other Guardians wanted to rewrite the Book of Oa to allow the Green Lanterns to kill and for various other things during the Sinestro Corps War. Ganthet and Sayd objected, so the other Guardians booted them out. They warned Earth's GLs of the coming of Sinestro's forces, then went off to declare their love for each other and create the first blue ring. While the other Guardians embrace darker methods they would never have considered back in the day, Ganthet and Sayd embrace hope and become the blue corps' founders.
I believe the fact that Ganthet and Sayd were embracing other emotions than willpower was the specific and direct reason for them being ousted. Everything else sort of added to it, but I think the exact reason the other Guardians gave was that the two of them weren't being impartial and emotionless anymore, which is the basis for the Guardians.

In other words, the Guardians were being little blue pricks as usual. There's pretty much no way this isn't going to come back and munch them in their munchkin behinds.

You know, for a big event they haven't really done much with it.

Countdown is leading up to it. That's basically what they're doing with it right now.

I expect more interviews with morrison and jg jones and whatever other scrub writer and artist is involved.

I fall in and out of comics but...

am I correct in assuming that the Black Laterns are gonna be a intricale part of the Final Crisis?

I don't think anyone knows for sure. The Blackest Night event is suppose to be a 2009 event. Writers could maybe drop a hint or two before then.

We was speculating on who the Black Laterns would be for sure. There is so much potential for it. Imagine Conner or Steph coming back as Black Laterns or Bart or hell even Bruce's Parents on some sick ill twisted ish.

It really has a lot of potential

Which means Didio will **** it up

I hope DC doesnt kill Bruce, even if its temporary (which obviously it is) its seems to contrived and convuluted thing to do.

He's only on issue 2? WHAT?! Delayed city here we come.

He might be close to finishing issue 2.
3 months of countdown
1 month of DCU#0
1 month issue 1

That's 5 months there already. How long of a lag is necessary from finished art to comic book shelves?

That's a good point. Oh well. Maybe it will be as good as Sinestro Corp and a delay won't be unbearable. Infinite Crisis was delayed it you remember.

Was COIE delayed at all?

Well it launches in May right?

The writing is done already. I mean most of the concepts are already outlined of what is gonna happen.

Yeah it will be fine, no worries...
