Wasn't it that she was held up by the winds? So maybe if it's a calm day....
That wasn't Rucka. Byrne did that, actually, ages before. The best example of reintroducing Silver Age stuff into modern comics for me is still Rucka's recreation of Wonder Woman's invisible jet as a semi-sentient, shapeshifting, invisible entity. It made the concept less goofy and introduced a wealth of new story potential.![]()
She uses it to transport passengers and luggage. Occasionally it makes a handy weapon, too.does she use that often? cuz i always wondered why she would even need a jet if she herself can fly- unless of course its faster than she is.

Did you like WW when you were a kid?Why not start now? Get some of the trades already out and read some of that good Wonder Woman you missed out on because of your being a sexist pig?
When I was kid WW was just a lame character. It didn't matter if the comic had the best writers/artists in the world-- all my comic-reading friends and I never READ the comic. It was Wonder Woman for crying out loud! No 10 year old boy reads WW!
Even now it kinda makes me laugh when people talk about how good WW is. I wouldn't mind picking up a tpb or HC once Gail Simone is done with her run on it though.

Rucka is also a very good place to start. I imagine it's what got most people here into WW in the first place, including me; it's more cerebral that Simone's action-laced run has been so far, but then Rucka is usually more cerebral than most.
The problem with starting with Rucka is that you then have to address the question of exactly what happened between Rucka and Simone, and the answer is...not pretty.
Not really. Allan Heinberg wrote some decent ****, then got lazy, Jodi Picoult never read a Wonder Woman comic in her life, Amazons Attack sucked major ass.
