I don't think the colors are going to be so significant here. I think it's more about the positive and negative sides of the Speed Force. What does this entail exactly? I don't know, I was baffled enough by the Speed Force before...

I imagine that's more Robinson's own doing. He and Rucka are basically in charge of most things Superman at the moment, so since he's writing BN: Superman, it makes sense to have Krypton-related stuff happening there.

The Speed Force was just an energy field/Heaven for speedsters. It didn't have positives or negatives; it was impartial energy. Good and bad folks could use it if they figured out a way to access it.

Although, the fact that it was recently merged with Bart is a decent excuse for any changes that we see in the current version of the Speed Force. Still kind of lame that Professor Zoom has an evil, red Speed Force and Barry has a good, yellow Speed Force, though.

By the end of Return of Barry Allen, Thawn's face had reverted back to his own. I remember kind of being mystified by a lack of explanation for it at the time, but just concluded that some Speed Force wizardry was behind it.

I'm heavily not digging the "multiple colored speed forces" thing. I almost expect the speed forces to either not interact with one another, or allow different powers. It reeks of a recycled idea that may have, or may be occuring, but I just can't put my finger on it...

Urg, I knew there was a big recton coming. I could just smell it in the air. I'm sure that'll play some pivotal role in a future Flash event Johns does and everyone will love it and eat it up regardless so whatever.
