i loves barry.
ya know what I was just thinking... who names their kid Barry these days?
There is no reason except nostalgia.
I think if making a film starting the story with the death of Barry and Wally taking over his mantle after being Kid Flash is far more interesting than yet another standard origin movie.
But then again I think having to watch Hal's test fighter crash and him get a ring for the 50th time is boring as Hell but other people seem to love it.

well some people liek wally basiaclly because of the justice league/JLU animated series. Barry to me represents the greatest hero(espacially of the silver age) Wally and Bart took influence of him. Even Jay was influenced by Barry in some way. and I agree with everything Kevin Smith and Protocida said about Barry. A movie about Barry, with cameos showing Jay Garrick, Wally West(pre kid Flash day) would be perfect for me.
I honestly don't understand how anyone could've become a fan of Wally specifically with JL/JLU. Not only do they effectively give him Wally's name and appearance with Barry's job and origin, making him neither Barry nor Wally in any sense that matters, he's also kind of an idiot and often a handicap to the team. There are some good moments with him, but they're outnumbered by terrible moments, like that episode where he couldn't catch up with a speeding van. :facepalmWell, there's more to it then just that. Just as a whole generation grew up with Barry Allen as the Flash, a whole generation grew up with Wally West as the Flash. The animated series and short-lived live action show just kind of reinstates that. I personally don't think the animated Justice League had that kind of influence

Lol I agree with about the first sentence but Wally was great in JL/JLUI honestly don't understand how anyone could've become a fan of Wally specifically with JL/JLU. Barry wasn't great until he died then suddenly he was a saint.
