In Rebirth it's been revealed there's now more than one Speed Force, a Red and a Yellow one thus far in that mini

Uh-oh, different colored forms of speedforce, this all sounds like something that's been happining in a little book called Green Lantern.

What's next? A reveal that Barry was possesed by an entity when he "died" in COIE.

It seems mostly that the two Speed Forces are positive/negative, not part of a spectrum of them.

Yeah, at this point that's what it seems to be. I don't know, we'll have to see how it develops later on.

Well, there's not much impetus for it in the Flash's case. Green Lantern's always had a strong light theme, which leads logically right into the color spectrum. The Flash isn't "the Red Flash" or anything. There's no light theme to play on.

Nope, just colored forces. Watch, the Turtle will get his own colored anti-speed force too.

It's nice that Johns remembers Wally knows tons more about the Speed Force than Barry.

does Barry know anything about it? I thought it was a new concept to him since he was brought back.

Since when is altering the past impossible?

Are all of those stories in which the past was altered supposed to have not happened now?

Really important elements are supposed to be fixed in place. Johns himself illustrated that point in Booster Gold when Booster tried to save Barbara Gordon from getting paralyzed but instead wound up getting his ass kicked by the Joker over and over and over again.

Presumably, I guess we're supposed to assume that Barry's an important enough dude that his mother remaining alive should be one of those points that's supposed to stay fixed, yet Thawne apparently had no trouble changing that. I'm sure it'll be tied to some property of (sigh :csad:) Thawne's Speed Force, making him an even bigger threat because of how much he could screw up the timestream and setting up the inevitable Barry/Booster team-up Johns no doubt wants to write somewhere down the line.

I understand that he is trying to make P. Zoom seem uber but the Flashes have been able to change the past before, supposedly they (Wally especially) just prefer not too because it can really screw things up. Heck, isn't that the whole premise of the origin of Zoom.

So now that John is trying to change that where does that leaves those time travel centric stories?

So Johns just broke his Wally stories in order to try to make his Barry stories.

After this Johns should just never deal with time travel again he doesn't seem very good at writing it. He doesn't even seem to be able to keep consistent with in this arc.

is it just me or did BN flash#3 just show how badass the rogues are

batman's villains will always be my fav, but i'm starting to really like flash's

I've liked the Flash's rogues for awhile now, although I wasnt always aware of them. UNfortunately I checked out of the BN tie-ins, because the Black Lanterns are incredibly and annoyingly long-winded

The Blackest Night tie-ins are kind of bugging me because people keep coming up with new ways to destroy or "fix" the Black Lanterns. I mean, you're supposed to need Green Lantern energy and another Lantern's energy to sever the black rings' connections, right? In the Secret Six tie-in, they destroyed a bunch of Black Lanterns solely with GL energy. Then in Blackest Night: Flash, they restored BL Bart to normal by doing something with the Speed Force.
