So when do we get a Flash forum for all the good news?

Dude, Ryan and Rachel broke up years ago. Unless they're still good friends, the possibility of working together again. are, and I quote C-3PO, "3,725 to 1"

well they dont have to be actually a "Kid" flash deal. Like i pointed out if they did barry at 27-29 yrs old, and made wally like 17-19 yrs old. They could cut out the whole kid thing, and have him be a late teen/early adult so then it wouldnt seem so silly, and would have him already believable to be the next flash if they were to kill barry off after like a film or two.

I'm a proponent of this idea, too. Skip the Kid Flash part altogether, and just have Wally be a teenager who also has speed powers that are either latent in development, he doesn't realize he has for a while, or he is reluctant to use at first. Around the time that Barry dies he begins exploring his powers more, and after Barry dies he becomes The Flash.

Yeah, so I've been told ...dude. Truth is I had no idea they ever even dated, just figured they'd been in some movie together and this was a premier shot, no I never saw the notebook which is where now I'm told they stared together, ok I had no idea.:whatever: Even less about their personal lives.
I just liked the pic, especially the bow-tie, they struck me as a perfect fit for Barry & Iris.
And more then anything the newspaper style manip (for me anyway) just seemed to bring home how doable and "real", a Flash/Barry film could be. You could replace them with several other talented actors, it's no big deal.

totally i agree the whole kid flash thing could be cheesy if done wrong but if he is a bit older it could work out better. But we will have to see what the story they develop and what characters make the cut in the first film.

I'd rather Wally just have powers yet lay low, not become Kid Flash. Lets be honest folks, sidekicks are cheesy.

yea i wouldnt mind if they hint towards the end of the first film if wally is a supporting player that he has powers too. But they are not active just yet.

well that was what the 60s right, things then were cheesy already. I am sure if they did have him as a kid they would try to make it less cheesy. But like i said before it would probably be best to drop him being a kid and make him a late teen/early adult. with a late 20s barry.

But Wally evolved into a very interesting character, sidekicks are only as cheesy as the writer makes them. Damian doesn't come off as cheesy in Batman & Robin, in fact most of them don't anymore.

I just got the hardcover edition of DC's WEDNESDAY COMICS and The Flash gets his own segment. This is IDEAL portrayal of Barry Allen in my opinon; He's funny (mocking Gorilla Grodd), smart, and fairly engaging.

Also, the short story makes me wonder of a Flash movie with time travel..Back to the Future style. That could be rad.

well isnt both barry and wally two different types of humor based? i thought they are from what i heard of both.

i've told the tale of the two Flash's humors before. its in this trend..somewhere.

oh yea for me i am sick of folks saying barry is dull and all that when i read before he has humor and all that.

it's only because the same people saying again and again. Just give it time. Again, I think Barry in 'Rebirth' was hard to read because he was like a walking exposition. He didn't have a whole lot character development.

But in Geoff's run of the new Flash series, Barry's pretty cool. Samething with his portrayal in Wednesday Comics.

My favorite part of the current Johns run so far is when Barry ran to the library, read all those books, and rebuilt the apartment complex in a few seconds. That was awesome.

And how is the Wednesday book, by the way?

wonderful homage to classic comics. However, it is SO BIG that I don't know where to put it. It's the size of a toddler. While I do have a coffee table, I don't want the cat or the dogs to chew on it.

well hopefully we will be getting more details soon for the flash film. Though if it isnt likely for the film to be out to 2013 it will probably be awhile to we have more official things. Since production probably wont happen to like somewhere between jan-april 2012.

Wally wasn't:yay:

This is true:yay:

It's why I love Wally. Like I've said, the most evolved character in the DCU is Wally West and thats what makes his story so great.

As for a movie though, I'd rather Wally just get powers but CHOOSE to stay on the sidelines until he is needed to replace Barry Allen.

At some point, in some form of sequel, I want a time travelling Flash movie.
