Actually, I like the Cincinnati suggestion the most!

I'm from Cincinnati... although I would be absolutely thrilled if they would film there because I'd get to see quite a bit of it, this city is just not good for a big budget film. It's nasty and the actual "city" part of Cinci is much smaller than people think.

In the novel The Flash: Stop Motion by Mark Schultz they never mention by name what state Central City is. They do however spend lots of time in Flash's head and he's always thinking about how great the middle of the country is with all it's plains and how "This place was made for us speedsters" and such. I always think of it as Kansas, Nebraska, or Colorado.

No I have not. I've read a bunch of the Batman ones and the Green Lantern (Sleepers 1, 2 and 3) ones. At one point I was trying to get all those books they were doing for the JL members so I've got a bunch of single ones hanging around.

And after watching Glee tonight, I agree with people who think Matthew Morrison should be Barry. He's PERFECT. They should just cast him now.

They have a warm friendly presence
Theyre funny, not in a cocky way
Theyre a good actor (obviously)
He looks like an everyday guy
He'd look normal with blonde/blondish hair (not JGL or Matthew Fox)


Some of that stuff has to do with acting, some is just natural stuff

How about Cam Gigandet for Barry Allen / The Flash.

He actually wouldn't be that bad of a choice if they wanted to go with a young and relatively unknown. Definitely got the look down. Good find!

I know that you, Blackman, are not a fan of that choice. With me, I wouldn't mind though he wouldn't be my first choice but I wouldn't complain if he got the part.

I'm still head over heels with Gyllenhaal for the part.

Or Matthew Morrison. But his Glee schedule is probably crazy, in addition to the fact that he has a solo album on the horizon.

I know. I'm sure he probably won't even consider The Flash unless there's room in his Glee schedule. It's just like Jon Hamm and Mad Men: If WB is considering him for Superman, they have to work around his schedule.

Im not looking to a Flash movie so much that a miscast will make me not see the movie. JGL is a great actor, but totally wrong for Barry.

Throwing another name out there, I was watching Rules of Attraction and was thinking what about James Van Der Beek? Dude has a big head but he was really good in Rules of Attraction and was good in Varsity Blues

(Though it seems like his hair has gotten much thicker; for a while there, he had a receding hairline)

I don't think that he would fit the part very well. The only thing I ever liked him in was The Rules of Attraction and that's because his role in that didn't require good acting, lol.

But anyways, it's surprising because there are a lot more actors that I'm open to playing The Flash than I've ever been with any other DC character. Weird.
