Rogue should hook up with Iceman??.........
But we don't HATE the Bobster that much.
That, and we don't want to break Sam's heart.
Rogue should hook up with Iceman??.........

He's not gay!!!!!....ARRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!He's not gay!!!!!....

Hahah and Mystique can turn into anyone too. Family guy made a joke about Iceman being gay too.
t:I could go for that. I loved the idea of them when they first tested it back in the mid 90sRogue should hook up with Iceman??.........
Yeah, but that was before they threw in the Mystique variable, lol.
It's gotta make things awkward, no?
Still better than romy, you have to admit.
t:Really? Which EP?? So have to check that out.t:
Yes erm.... actually you have made a great point, no Bobby and Rogue, give her to Wolverine...So are we going to call it Robby then? Or maybe Riceman?t:
Regardless, it'd be fun to watch someone else's favorite character be destroyed by the character black hole that is Rogue.
t:
Wolverine huh? you know that in the end someone is going to be in a body bag in that relationship.

I thought the Skrulls were killing off the ones they copied. I don't want Gambit to be deaded.![]()
if you had a chance how would you revamp him?
No offense (ever) meant, but that'd be the stupidest ****ing retcon. My first act would be to distance him from Rogue. I have a few different ideas about how; ranging from "been a clone since Antarctica" to "finally tells her to f*** off". Either way, I'd set Rogue up with a new beau and try to consolidate that romance (and Gambit's lack of further interest in Rogue) to help prevent a relapse of Romy.
You assume Marvel would print a mini dedicated to "solving the mystery" of the origin of a second-tier, at best, character.Next I'd clean-up and revamp his origin story via a mini like they did a few years ago with Wolverine. Basically, he was abandoned by superstitious parents because of his red eyes and grew up an orphan on the streets until he was taken in by one of the two largest streetgangs of the city: The Thieves and Assassin's.
Sound.I'd also try and give him the edge he's been missing for well over a decade. No more groveling or lap-dogging: my Gambit would be a pragmatic, manipulative sonnova b****. One of his defining features is was that he was practical to a fault and always working an angle. That needs to come back.
Sound.Costume-wise, I'd do a complete re-design, keeping only the trenchcoat. Nothing flashy; it would be the sort of thing that would blend in nearly anywhere.
Sound, more or less. I'd argue or ask about some, but eh.I'd also bring some focus to the often neglected part of the character: his personality! Not adding anything new , just bringing whats already there to light:
-low sense of self-worth
-slightly paranoid
-fear of intimacy
-mild kleptomania
-found religion, to an extent, after the Massacre
-loyal only to family
-strong desire to belong hidden by a faux loner personna
Pretty much what you'd expect from someone abandoned early on in life.
