Gambit is real cool, i just wish the writers would stop looping him. One minute he does good the next hes working for the bad guy. no wonder why he isn't as popular as he used to be.

You have said before that the Gambit heritage line from “Blood of Apocalypse” would probably be explored this year. Is that still in the works?

It is, yeah. But I don't know how far we'll move that along in the second arc, which is where Gambit comes back into play. It might have to wait a little longer before you get a clear answer.

this and the synopsis for 113 &114 is making me think of x-men the end's damn "sinister+cyclops=gambit" plot. :csad:

Gambit was cool back when u didnt know anything about him apart from that he had a shady past. He sucked the moment his dark history was revealed to be that he was a complete *****.

Gambit is far from a *****. He just isn't pure evil. That's his number one reason for joining the X-men. He wants to redeem himself and make up for past sins. The thing is that Gambit is a morally ambiguous character. He's a good guy in a bad way.

Nah, his dark secret didn't make him a *****; starting genocide is pretty hardcore. He sucked when they *made* him into a *****.

starting genocide is pretty hardcore.

but he didnt really.. he just led some people there not knowing they were going to kill everyone, and then when they did he tried to help save them.

...and he only led the maruders there in the first place in order to save his own life and the lifes of everyone around him because his power was getting too uncontrollable.

.....and for that he was brooding and whining about his dark past and terrible secret for 10 years.

So what? Not going through with genocide makes you a *****? LOL.

...and he only led the maruders there in the first place in order to save his own life and the lifes of everyone around him because his power was getting too uncontrollable.

Everything he touched or looked at had started to explode uncontrollably. Sound like a good reason to you?

Theft, kidnapping, extortion, bribery, trespassing, murder in the first and second degrees, manslaughter, robbery, burglary, larceny, arson, grand theft auto, grand theft aero, child endangerment, the dude's got a respectable rapsheet. The problem isn't that he didn't have a dark past; he certainly does. The problem is that they don't write him like he has a dark past.

Logan kills people on a regular basis. Never seen Cyke give him the grief about it the way Remy seems to draw long stares around the house. Why is Logan more trustworthy than Gambit?

Probably because Wolverine doesn't leave a lot of doubts. I mean, normal 616 Wolverine doesn't leave anyone guessing as to where they stand. He's on the team, he's not going to stab them in the back.

Gambit's always been the more shady, yes? And considering CanCan is all but humping himself in his want to bring Gambit back to a more manipulative way, that would probably be where the difference is.

I don't get it. How exactly can he be written like he has a dark past?

I agree. Gambit is supposed to be very mysterious. You never know exactly what he thinks, how he feels and what he's about to do. It's easier to give someone like that grief than a person who does bad things but will tell you all about upfront and let's you know exactly how he feels about it like Wolverine does.

Messiah Complex is a perfect example: Gambit was once again stuck in Antarctica because the X-men abandoned him a second time. Not only that, but he's surrounded by the people he hates more than anything in the world. Surely there's some characterization to be gotten from such a situation, right? Wrong; all he did was stand around bleating about Rogue and getting beat up; thats what I mean about him being written like he doesn't have a dark past.

A light at the end of the tunnel!

I've just heard the first really good news about Legacy: Gambit and Rogue were both set to debute in the second arc, but Rogue's entrance has been pushed back a few months, meaning the second arc will be Gambit sans Rogue!

So Gambit is going to appear before Rogue in the comics? Can't wait till Legacy comes out. It sounds great. I wonder whats going to happen to ProfX.

Which means we will have a story of Gambit, Cyclops and Sinister... it really sounds like the End coming to 616 :p

I really didn't like the End series and really hope it doesn't end like in the End. I don't like the fact of Gambit be related to Sinister. It seems kinda stupid.

Puh-lease.

As if they wouldn't tweak it somehow.

They essentially exiled CC out of 616 continuity. They're not gonna go out of their way to validate a poorly-received clusterf**k of a story that isn't even canon.

:wow: No Rogue? great, now i have to wait. :csad:

by the synopsis it seriously does sound as if the gambit/sinister story in legacy is heading towards the End.
that would suck on some levels

I could only get 1 issue of the Messiah Complex arc. Exactly what did Gambit do during that arc?
