Much as I love the guy...

Gambit?

Balls?

In what AU are you referring to?

Part of what I love about him is that he is, in fact, completely *****-whipped. It makes a girl feel all womanly to bring a man to his knees like that...

<_<

>_>

Not that I'd know anything about that.

Only if you believe I am referring to...nipples. Yesh. I said it.

Hahahah I think i love you

No, no, NO.

I meant the whole 'Emma falling asleep from exhaustion before she could take her BOOTS off'. Gumbo would most likely nod in approval and give Cyke a thumbs up.

Come to think of it, it *REALLY* puts all the x-males' insubordinate/rebel streaks into a whole new light, lol.

The real test is the next few issues, when Sinister and Rogue really start getting intertwined.

Isn't #215 a Chuck/Cyke smackdown? I didn't get the vibe it was a Chuck/Sins' moment. But then again... sollicits.

I love you, too.

Oh, I'm sorry...see I couldn't move past his freakishly large nipples (which totally support my theory that Cyclops had moobs [man-boobs] as a kid) to recognize the blatant evidence of his sexual prowess...

Though come to think of it this must explain why Jean came back from the dead so many times. Just couldn't get enough of One-Eye and his...one-eyed snake.

(I amuse myself so much in this moment).:whatever:

You know, there's something tragically appropriate about a Roguey fan sucking the life out of a joke. :oldrazz:

Read my post in the Cyke thread if you think I'm dead serious on this one. :cwink:

A couple pages back we were discsussing submitting fanfics about that female Gambit pic. Both LadyVader and I said we were going to submit stories. Was there anyone else interested in submitting a story? Just curious.

I don't think I will. I stopped writing fanfic a while ago. Still, post a link when you're done and I'll give it a read.

I swear, Gambit has some of the weirdest insults. I was translating his French from the last issue, and he apparently called Shaw a fork at one point.

Mine will be done by saturday evening, I promise.
I can't wait to read yours. The trouble with being done first is now I have to wait. :p

Maybe someone at Marvel needs to go back to French class. :p

Maybe somebody at Marvel needs to figure out that Cajun French is different from normal French. :)

LadyVader said it was all right if I went ahead and posted my fanfic so here it is: http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?p=15252165&posted=1#post15252165

It is in a thread for challenges based on the piece of fanart so it's not likeit is just my story by itself. LV will post her story there when it is finished. :) Anyone can post their offerings there as well. I'd love to read what others have written on the subject. :D

Pretty cool that Pete Wisdom made teh list as well. He's another fave of mine. :)

Yeah, i don't know why Deadpool got the second spot: yeah he's doing good right now, but thats just because Nicieza's gambit series got canned by Quesada.

There's been a concentrated effort the last few years to expand Deadpool's popularity.

Had they, say, made those moves with Gambit, it'd be a reversed scenario.

Sadness.

Deadpool's another fave of mine. His first ongoing was really well done and very funny so I don't mind giving him a spot on that list. :D

I adore Deadpool...almost as much as I adore Gambit. LOL. I agree Gambit should have been above him, though.

Though I do note that real!Gambit maybe possibly hitting on chick!Gambit reminds me of that scene in "Funeral for a Freak" when Deadpool noted that his feminity (as given form) was hot.

Still can't believe Wade made it to #2.

I know there are two issues with Deadpool coming out in September, but come on.

There has been a recent surge in Deadpool popularity, in part due to Marvel's attempts to market the character...

Though that should have gotten him to maybe 3. Not 2.

The list isn't for who is a fave now, but who was a fave in the 90's, I thought.... If Marvel did a list of faves now, I doubt Gambit would even be in the top 10. :(

Well, the tagline says that it's their "favorite" 10 characters of the 90s.

I suppose they could certainly rank Deadpool up there... But being that the guy didn't really take off until the late 90s/into the 2000s, it reads more like a top 10 favorite characters that were spawned in the 90s.

And yes, Gambit's fan base has rapidly declined since then, sadly.

But, when you read through what they say about Gambit, you'll find this quote...

"Once it was revealed that he helped the Marauders slaughter the Morlocks, Gambit went from simply being cool to being something even more—a man seeking redemption for a crime that many would define as irredeemable."

Ugh. Typical line from folks that don't actually like, or care about the character. If only half-knowlingly leading baddies to an inevitable massacre is something you can't come back from, then most of the active X-Men would have long since been shunned. Despite his shady rep, Gambit's past is only half as bad as most of the folks they stick on teams now.
