where would i be able to buy an american 360 copy that would allow me to ship to the UK? i must know:csad:

The American version of Amazon I'd say. Though I really don't know how much shipping would be for that.

Any of your stores doing a midnight release? I dont think the one here is doing one, bummer.

Mine either. I actually asked and they said they could only do one if the main office said they could, otherwise they would have to put in a special request to do one.

see i was thinking yankie ebay since all my dealings with UK amazon have been piss poor...

I didn't think of that, but I think that would work just as well probably. Maybe even better. Though, the shipping will probably still be fairly high

i'm not bothered about shipping costs really...as long as i get the game i'm happy...

In case some of you havent seen, i just got my GameInformer in, and they gave Ghostbusters an 8. Their main complaint was the few spikes in difficulty and there were points where they said it felt as tho you were doing all the work.

Another good score for what looks to be a fantastic ride for Ghostbuster fans.

huzar for mates!

i got my mate to order me a US copy of the game via ebay...score for me!!

Here's a review I found on Gamerankings from 'GameZone', overall 8.5/10

Gameplay: 8.5
A solid 10-hour campaign with a great mix of action and exploration keeps the pace very solid throughout, and the ghostbusting mechanic never feels old. While the experience is pretty linear, there’s still plenty of incentive for fans of the movies to hit the campaign a second time. There are some times that the controls feel a little clunky, and the long (and frequent) load times after you die are a drag.

Graphics: 8.5
The game’s art direction is fantastic, recreating the film series’ style and flair and adding a whole new element in the ethereal stages. The character designs are also spot on, but not to the point of being too creepily realistic. The only problem is the framerates, which take hits very often.

Sound: 9.5
The gang’s all here, with only series regulars Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis opting not to return (newcomer Alyssa Milano takes their place). The music features some new score material as well as faithful reproductions of Elmer Bernstein’s timeless soundtrack.

Difficulty: Medium

Concept: 9.0
Featuring some fine writing on behalf of Aykroyd and Ramis, Ghostbusters features a great story and tons of elements that make it a faithful experience while still feeling very fresh.

Multiplayer: 9.0
The game features a great blend of co-op missions that are each variations of survival modes from other titles, and feel great with the game’s mechanics. If only you could do the campaign cooperatively…

Overall: 8.5
While a full-on co-op campaign would’ve been awesome, there’s still plenty to love here for Ghostbusters fans. The game was made with a definite sense of appreciation for the original films, and stands well against any other action game out there, even without its license. Sure, it's got some problems, but it's still everything a true fan could hope for.

Awesome find man. The reviews have been alot better than i thought. I mean i figured it would get around a 7 to 7.5 saying its fun, but only if you are truly a fan of the films. If its getting this many high marks from the "professionals" i imagine it could very well be my game of the year.

Sounds encouraging. Now I've gotta decide whether to get this for PS3 or 360. Probably the latter since I'm more used to that controller now.

The PS3 requires a 4 GB install(which imo, isnt a big deal) and, believe it or not, doesn't look as smooth as the 360 version(according to IGN). I think it has some exclusive videos that doesn't appear on the 360 tho, but those videos are gonna be on the Blu Ray, which i plan on purchasing.

"The Blu-Ray" = a Blu-Ray re-release of Ghostbusters? 'Cause I'll probably just rent that and watch it.

Yea, the Blu Ray version of Ghostbusters will drop the same day the game does. I think im gonna wait until they release a pack featuring both Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II in hte Blu Ray format, which im sure they will do at some point.

They were going to release both movies on the same say at one point, but for whatever reason the second one got dropped

Yea thats odd. I made that mistake with the DVD's, bought each one seperatly at different times, then ended up buying the combo pack. Im gonna wait this time.

Yeah, I really don't understand what the deal with that was. I guess they assumed more people would care about just the first one, and that delaying the second one was no big deal. I think they were wrong, but hey

They probably figured they'd squeeze more money out of separate releases. Or that they could fool a whole new generation of ProjectPats into paying for them twice--once separately and then again with the pack and whatever spiffy exclusive additions they include in that.

But Netflix has a Blu-Ray collection, so I doubt I'll ever actually buy either.

Well, I meant that they were going to release them as separate discs originally, too. I don't think there was a plan for combo pack right off the bat or anything.

Hahaha :csad:

Well, I am getting this on Tuesday for sure.
Then next Saturday, I'm going to a Ghostbusters 1&2 showing at a local theater :D
They're gonna show some episodes from TRG, fan-films, behind the scenes stuff, etc.
It's going to be great!

Yup!
Only 16 bucks too.
Totally worth it.
I might wait to play the game until Saturday night, to go at it "chronologically"
