I don't think quantity is the problem with it.
I'm reacting to some reviews that have said transitional scenes don't work and some stuff seems missing.

They could set the premise for John as a former soldier who is tired of war and is looking to follow his boy hood dream as an architect only to be pulled in the forefront of the biggest galactic war in the universe. Could work.

It's laughable how some of you guys pour over the trailers and spots, spend weeks dissecting them and then are surprised when the movie holds no magic for you once you go see the actual movie.
Delay gratification, stop being such crackheads about these movies.
WB is going to blame the lack of success on Comic-Con...
Oh guys, we all need to calm down a bit. I hope the film is enjoyable at least, but I think alot of us are pissed that this wasn't a better quality film. They had plenty of time to work on this. Really this is the type of film that people should be thinking is the next great franchise for WB, and not some also ran.
On the other hand, we all could lighten up a bit. It could be worse. Just ask any Vancouver Canucks fan.

Exactly. Let's all just take a deep breath.
Listening to a review. Most frustrating thing I heard was how the scene with like 10,000 GL's going crazy shooting light into the sky and then you never see them again...

Really I got into GL in preperation for this movieI'd imagine that the Green Lantern fans must be pretty ticked by the bad reviews. I really dont know much about GL, so I'm still curious.
Indeed. XFC was more breezy fun, but I think Super 8 may be the better movie. It's hard to gauge. But they're both two truly good movies released as summer blockbusters. So refreshing.

Im more worried about how this will potentially affect the other DC films Ive been dying to see since I was a kid.

Exactly. Marvel has been dishing out these great films, Iron-Man, Thor, Capt America, X-Men, etc... and they have avengers right around the corner...
WB has Batman and Superman. Those two will always be there, but this movie was a huge set up for other movies like Flash, etc... and even a lead up to JL.
How sad, I like DC more than Marvel too
