When an actor acts as thirsty for a role as he has, I'd be willing to bet it's because he isn't even in the running.

I like Tyrese but his GL crusade is so cringy.

What I want from a GLC film is an older, more experienced Hal Jordan. He's a legend. A hotheaded cowboy cop maverick that gets the job done. And a rookie, by-the-book straight laced John Stewart with word of mouth being that he's a rising star with a lot of potential. And then throw both of them on the same beat. They will but heads right before Hal decides to retire because he's getting too old for this ****.

I noticed the Manhunters were some of the concept art (or maybe just the chosen comic art). I have to say if you have a threat that needs the entire Corp then the Manhunters are a great choice. I'm definitely on board with the Manhunters!

Part of me wants them to jump straight to a Sinestro Corps War adaptation, but if they want to start smaller and build up to that, Manhunters are a good way to start.

I wonder how they'd portray the Manhunters, I'm thinking making them less humanoid would make it more authentically alien as a group of killer robots

Probably means nothing in the grand scheme of things but...

I'd put this in a same category as the Hal Jordan references on The Flash. DC is dropping the idea of the GLC here and there, but they may/may not have solid plans for specific characters.

Question is, will such hints continue in the DCEU films leading to a JL appearance or will they not have GL in either JL film and then have the hints in the films leading up to the GLC movie?


And before the usual suspect shows up and proclaims how such a thing would be idiotic, unthinkable and suggest how he can't believe that a real fan could think something like that... Chill the F out. We don't know what the plans are now and we don't know if GL whichever one will be in JL, either part. Would I LOVE it if they put GL in part one or two? Absolutely. But I think Avengers has already proven that the team up film can be a hit without having to hew exactly to canon and it's very possible we don't see GL in the line up.

It is possible for sure. Green Lantern is a cosmic level superhero so naturally his inclusion is a bit trickier than the rest. I'm not sure if both Justice League movies will be totally absent of a Green Lantern, but I doubt he is going to be a main character in the first part.

GL will appear in the first Justice League movie. Snyder wouldn't have released that Aquaman pic with the slogan "Unite the Seven" if JL was only going to feature six members.

Mera is reportedly going to be in Justice League. Perhaps the seventh member is going to be her? Then Hal and the GLC show up at the end and help the League out?

You know, I've been thinking about GLC. The lore is so deep that it could spin-off into a cinematic universe unto itself. The GLC gets introduced in JL 1 & 2 and it's eponymous film and from there it's got the whole comsic side of the DCU for them to play around with. And all the Corps of the color spectrum ect ect... Some food for thought until actors and the director gets announced.

I must have missed the part where with any specificity Geof Johns said, "Green Lantern is in the Justice League film". He said in the CW that Green Lantern will be part of the Justice League universe of films. That's not saying GL is in any part of the JL franchise as of yet. Could it be that GL is in it? Yeah. I'd love it. But this is jumping to conclusions especially, since...

We didn't see any GLs in the only group concept art from the self same special. So much for paying attention.

Lmao that art is for the first film. Your argument is foolish. Go watch the special, you REALLY need to, you wouldn't be posting this outrageous speculation if you watch the special for the first time.

If he meant to say they would be showing up in the DCEU he would've said so, instead he specifically said the Justice League universe, suggesting that they will show up in the JL movies. GL might not be in the first film, but he's clearly in the second.

To be fair that could be because the studio hasn't decided which Latern is going to be the Leaguer. And they didn't want to piss off Hal or John fans.

IINM John was in just as many as Hal. I like John more, but truth be told I don't really care who's the Leaguer as long as both are leading the GLC solo.
