Sequels The Official "How YOU would do Spider-Man 4" thread

Yeah you're right about the introduction. It's 4 in the morning where i am, i shouldn't be sleep posting.

I don't think Carnage and Lizard mesh well as a combo. Both are essentially monsters and provide similar conflicts. Carnage stalks people (mass murderer he is) and since we would probably get the rampaging version of the Lizard (not the turn people into reptiles one), the Lizard would be stalking people whom he comes into contact with.

This is Spider-Man, not Godzilla!!!

As much as I loved Batman Begins and The Incredible Hulk, we can blame them for fanboys wanting reboots whenever they see something they are slightly displeased with :whatever:

Oh, and a general comment. Did we all forgot SM3 made like 900 million dollars? I fail to see where this is a failing franchise like some are painting it to be. SM3 wasn't THAT bad (I loved it), nor was it as poorly received as some would like to make it seem. This movie didn't plunge after its first week like Ang Lee's Hulk did for crying out loud!

Well said, Spider-Fan.

Yeah i just think Spidey's gonna fight them both, but then when Spidey can't beat Carnage, Lizard turns good/gets controlled by connor, and spidey and lizard team up to fight Carnage. Hopefully they do the symbiote well.

I'd do a more serious movie and less comercial. With action scenes of course, but making a better story and development of the characters, specially the new ones.

That sounds horrible

I don't think the studio wants people to be reminded of the symbiote/Venom stuff that was in SM3,I think they want to distance themselves from it.And putting Carnage in the movie wouldn't accomplish that.

I think the studio wants to use Carnage, but I don't think they want to use him alongside Lizard. They'll use Carnage when they feel there are not enough other bankable villains (though I see many SM villains remaining whom would provide far better movies than Carnage, but face it, the guy is popular).

Carnage would never work in Raimi's universe unless they tone him done. This Spider-man series is very kid-friendly, and a mass murdering psychopath probably wouldn't fit in. I say you have the Lizard and Kraven.

Basically, Connors turns into the Lizard and is on the loose. Kraven comes to hunt Spider-man, but then discovers that the Lizard is also on the loose and sets his sights on him as well. So you then have the conflict of Spider-man trying to protect Lizard from Kraven because Spidey finds out Lizard is Connors, but of course, it's hard to protect something that does not want to be protected. I wouldn't make Kraven an explicit bad guy, just a very determined hunter. The hard part would be finding a fitting conclusion because I wouldn't want to kill him off.

I would do Chris Nolan or the guy who makes the X-Men Movies make it
I hate since the first SM that this movies are made for children, not for fan boys like me
I hate the Goblin ( Green Ranger, why dont they let Jack Nicholson do it as planed far away in the past.........Sinisiter Six movie, with Jack Nicholson as Norman Osborne and Arnie as Octopus )

I was sooooooooo upset as I saw what the have done with venom........Carnage must be in a SM movie, but I would make this movie with an adult rating. Carnage should be very near to the new joker.......ok, without bloody scenes you can make it as pg13.

But I must say I like the Idea of the guy in the first post

For a newbie, you sure do come with a lot of hate.

But I like the notion that you're into a more adult oriented Spider-Man movie like myself. Also, Carnage is 20 times the killer The Joker is, and you should see a hell of a lot more blood. He doesn't have to worry about cops shooting at him, they'll all be dead before they can draw their guns...not that bullets can harm him.

Oh, and no Arnold and Nicholson. :o

First I like to say, that i´m not really a newbie, i visited the forum since a long time, but only as watcher, never as writer.....

The cause of my hate is that I was soooooo disapointed by the SM movies. I really like the CGI, making Spidey move very well, also the Symboint in part 3 was moving like I always imagine it would be ( when I first read venom storys I imagine the symbiont like the kind of moving oil )

The problem is also that I dont like Toby M., he fits good from the looking of the "old" peter parker from the 60s and later, but as child I only read the "new spiderman" comics from the 80s, I call him the "Big Eye Spiderman"

Venom and Carnage are my favourite chars, and for me its 100 % sure that if they can ruin Venom, they will also do it with Carnage

By the way, i want to set a avatar, but under "user cp" change profile I dont see a way to do it.....

Success with one superhero does not equate to success with future ones. Singer made decent X-Men movies (overrated though), but made an absolutely horrible Superman one. Nolan's realistic style works for Batman, but that doesn't mean this same style works for all heroes. In deciding who you want to do a particular superhero's movie, you need to look at the director's style and what films he typically does. That doesn't mean that is all he can do, but I don't see how you can say Nolan would do great Spider-Man movies based on his Batman ones. They are totally different characters.

That said, I disagree with you heavily on the Raimi films.

Sure you did. That's what they all say :whatever: :o

Good for you.

Cute name. But that's not the producers problem is it? No...

I don't want Carnage either but it doesn't mean that Sony can't try to learn from their mistakes, right?

Another 296 posts for a tiny avy like mine.

Forget Raimi, Michael Bay should do Spidey 4!!
Shia can play Peter, and hey, Megan Fox can play Mary Jane!!
Oh, Tyrese would make teh best Harry Osborn! Josh Duhamel for Doc Ock and Optimus Prime as J. Jonah Jameson!!

I do think shia lebouf isn't the the best actor for the part, but i don't get all the hate towards him. I've liked him in every movie i've ever seen him in, especially disturbia. Anyhow, if they do recast, i hope they get someone who looks flexible, not too muscular, but some happy medium between the two. Also, i'd like to see the lizard's transformation done a la cronenbergs "the fly", slow, gradual, and painful.
