sorry, im not fond of the ultimate series. but um, an overused concept by who? the writers of the original spider-man comics?
And im not trying to be an a$$ im just curious. Who would you like to see in the next movie if not Kraven/Lizard?

Who the hell said I didn't want to see Kraven and The Lizard in '4'? I'd love to see them in the fourth installment. The villains I want to see in the fourth installment are: Chameleon, Kraven and The Lizard. I think these three characters can work really well together, if it were just Kraven and The Lizard, it'd be missing a villain who can really hold his own, Chameleon would be a nice addition. Afterall, how can the audience take a guy who just decides to hunt down Spider-Man seriously?

Okay then, look, I honestly hate to self-promote my own stuff but it's the only comparison I have, in the link in my sig, it says "Spider-Man 4". The fic features Chameleon as the main villain because he connects both The Lizard and Kraven together, leading to their confrontation, not just go, "The Lizard vs. Kraven: Round 3".

yes, the story line of the villains you'd like to be in it. i read your opening scene or whatever it aludes to the two brothers, but it still doesnt show me much.

Okay, let me give you a rundown:
Chameleon: He the instigator of the feud between The Lizard and Kraven, if he hadn't been so greedy and self-righteous, he wouldn't have gotten killed. His motives were all a mess after it all came full circle that his plan was to prove to people using Dr. Connors that the formula worked as his main plan was to sell them fake copies for a high amount of money. Chameleon/Dmitri in the fic is a schemer and he's the main cause of what happens during the final few acts.
The Lizard: Just introduced The Lizard and he killed Chameleon in the storyline so far, you see how he leaves his son behind that he's truly lost inside this monster. And if you ever wanted to get Dr. Connors back, you'd have to work real hard to find a way to get him back. The Lizard is pretty much the Dr. Jeykll & Mr. Hyde aspect of the comic-books, but in this he's just a full-fledged monster. This is one of the reasons why The Lizard can't work as a main villain in any of the movies, you'd have to work super hard at getting the character of Dr. Connors to his full-potential in order to create a great connection between the villain and yourself.
Kraven: Kraven, as you know, is Dmitri's half-brother. It was my idea to first introduce Kraven before Chameleon's death but I found that'd be too cliched if you called your brother up to deal with a giant-lizard, I didn't want that. So I decided to kill off the character at the hands of The Lizard, get someone to inform Kraven of his brother's demise so you can create more tension between Kraven and The Lizard, with Spider-Man caught in the middle.

I just want to deliver a story that doesn't include a returning Venom or Carnage, for one, but mainly, I just want to make this story different from the previous installments. None of that "misunderstood villain crap" this time around, I wanted to create a better relationship between Peter and Mary Jane, introduce a few new characters we've heard of from the Spider-Man comics and even the animated series.

Plot:
A year after the events of Spiderman 3, Peter and Mary Jane have reconciled and are happy again despite losing their friend Harry. All seems well in New York City as crime is relatively low and Spiderman has not been needed as much....until now. As Dr. Curt Conners has been searching for a way to replace his arm with genetics, something goes horribly wrong to the point of mutation. He is turned into the beastily Lizard and is set loose onto the city.

Mr.Fisk, better known as The Kingpin has set up shop in NYC after laying low for sometime. He is now the premire mob boss in NYC and has operations running smoothly, until a few of his top earners are brutally killed by The Lizard. The Lizrad (Conners) is hurting alot of people, not just mob officials and seeking shelter in the sewers. Conners is in a bad way, trying to fight these urges to hunt and kill....but he can't help it.

Now Kingpin has sent his own task force out, led by his contract hitman Cletus Kassidy. Spiderman must now try and track down the Lizard and stop him, until he finds out it's his friend and teacher...Curt Conners, now Pete is burdened with the task of stopping him and protecting him at the same time. But the task force fails horribly and half is killed in persuit of The Lizard and Spiderman, and Kassidy is arrested. Now The Kingpin is almost out of options, til he sends out word to his out of country connections and hires top of the line hunter Kraven to kill this Lizard. On top of that, the NYPD is all after The Lizard now as well, having a few cop kills on his head from the big chase. The city is on hightened alert and fear is running rampid.

So now the stage is set for Spiderman/Pete to find The Lizard, save the people he may harm, try and save Lizard/Conners himself while battling The Hunter Kraven, who decides to add Spiderman to the bounty on Kingpin's orders along with The Lizard.



I think this would make the most logical idea for the fourth movie. I mean, I think it's obvious The Lizard will be the main attraction despite no word on the movie yet..Conners has been in two movies already. And Lizard is a ying and Kraven makes a logical yang, plus it gives Peter a very huge dilema in trying to stop/save The Lizard, plus battle Kraven and Kingpin's mob. I know people might not like the idea as Kassidy as Kingpin's hitman, but I only threw that in to please fans clamoring for Carnage...as with him in jail, he could pop up in future movies should they use him. Kassidy could easily be replaced with Hammerhead.
As the villain casting I based on the obvious or rumored choices, especially Gandolfini as I heard it on a radio show this monday how he has been reached out to should Sony get the rights to The Kingpin character.

Let me know what you think peeps...like I said, I took the most obvious story, as it seems alot of people see something like this coming along, and it might just redeem the franchise after the iffy Spiderman 3. Spiderman 4 could be huge if done right, especially with The Lizard

Yeah, but with something as "huge" as that, it can easily be turned the opposite way, look at Venom for 'Spider-Man 3'. Anyhow, nice synopsis, man.

Yeah but Venom only got like 10mins in the finale....The Lizard would have a whole movie surrounding him, and probably plenty of more screentime then Venom. And with Connors..we have already been introduced to him twice, we know he's a good guy....and in the first 20mins of this movie (if the movie is like 2 1/2 hours, we can establish him some more before his turn, to make us feel bad for him in his tragic turn. That's what I ment in huge....a worthy villain with a movie to surround around him with Kraven/KingPin/Cops/Peter all having their own agenda's to catch him.

Plus, i kinda ment his look too visually....and I was disappointed with Venom's appearences, that I loved. So I imagine Raimi (if directing) could come up with a great Lizard design, after all....he did the Evil Dead movies haha. He just has to remember the bar is set high now for comic book movies thanks to The Dark Knight, so he cant make a mistake like making The Lizard look not so good, nor the portrayl.....so he may have to go to some of his deeper roots that worked in Spiderman 2.

And thank you for the thumbs up on the story...makes sense to me and something id like to see done on screen, cast wise and story wise.

I really don't understand how you people think The Lizard is such an obvious choice for the villain in the next movie. If Dr Connors didn't have small rolls in SM2 and SM3 then the Lizard would have been on the bottom of your list. He is a boring, nonthreatening character that brings absolutley nothing to the table. Even in the comics he is a second tier villan, usually showing up alongside or against more established villains like Kraven The Hunter. Villains like Electro, Mysterio, Carnage, Kingpin, Rhino, Vulture... those are all big spider-man villains that would make a nice addition to the series. But The Lizard??? no thank you...

Well like I said, it's just a rumor...but i did hear it on a radio show, as after they talked The Dark Knight, they elaborated on upcoming comic book movies.......and dont remember if they said Gandolfini's agent reached out to Sony should they use Kingpin....or if Sony reached out to them should they buy the rights to the character and use him in SM4

But it is a very good choice, especially since he auditioned for Sal Maroni in The Dark Knight....but Nolan likes to go against the typical casting.

You just keep coming out with these If that's true it's the 1st bad mistake Nolan made with the franchise

I can say now how I would do Lizard, base his looks from the SM3 video game, giving him light brown pants would be better then Purple.
