I know Nolan's track record and enjoyed BB, but don't put this flick up on so high of a pedestal before you've even seen it. It's setting yourself up for some kind of massive karmic payback, that's all.

TDK will smoke it, I can promise you that. TIH will probably hit the same level of success as IM though.

TDK will smoke IM? heh,

I'm not talking about box office success, I could not care less about that.

As a superhero film IM is amazing, for TDK to better IM it would have to be the best ever SH film.

I don't think anyone can promise that.

QFT.

Iron Man this year has become the superhero comic book to beat. And those claiming TDK better than IM should at least wait until its release. This scenario reminds me of Spider-man vs AOTC some years ago and years later X2 vs Matrix Reloaded. So many fans saying AOTC would destroy Spider-man and MR would do the same to X2. At the end of the year Spider-man and X2 ended up as the better movies for its respective years.

I can't believe nobody voted:"Worst movie I've ever seen". I mean, just on principle alone. :)

I finally saw Iron Man a couple of days ago, and man what a great movie!

When I saw the trailers and spots I figured it would be a good movie, but it really blew my expectations away!

I was a little disappointed in the final fight scene with Jeff Bridges. Felt like it was a bit too short and dull, but I realize they were gong for a dramatic effect with him not having full power.

The entire cast did a great job! I'm really looking foward to the sequel with a lot more action.

Irom Man is easily in my top 4 best superhero movies right behind Superman Returns, X2, and Batman Begins

I'm pissed off I didnt stay till after the credits! Missed a helluva cameo!

8/10 I liked it. It wasn't Spiderman or Batman Begins awesome, but it was a good movie with some cool moments.

Considering the cast and crew behind it, plus the fact that BB was a phenomenal success, it wouldn't surprise me.

I saw Iron Man last night, for the third time. It gets better every time. Definitely a movie that you could see over and over again.

I may see it again this friday, i'm debating between Indy 4 for a 2nd time or IM for a 3rd time.

Question: does anyone else think Iron Man could seen as a discussion on the discussion of international arms dealing?

Do people like misquoting me for some reason? I never said a comic book movie shouldn't be mature. I said that, IMO, Hulk and Superman Returns were both far TOO mature, to the point where, IMO, they ended up being pretentious.
Jeez, dude, learn the damn meaning of the word 'pretentious'!
Like I said replying to you in another thread - practically all fiction is pretentious.
Different movies have a certain level of importance to different people. It’s not fair to call something ostentatious while you would gladly engage in an almost identical farce of a different sort.

And now a short Iron Man review:
This movie is certainly very simple and clean fun. What gives it an impressive look other than the obvious is the acting and the overall professional way the film is done. It gave me a certain sense that I haven’t felt for quite a while - it’s easy but it’s good. I can characterize it as the Schwarzenegger flick of superhero movies.

That's a pretty fair review. I liked Iron Man a lot, and it's a lot better that some other Marvel movies; but it's still not as good as the Spider-man Trilogy, imo. It wasn't overly complicated, but it wasn't incredibly simple, either.

I'm starting to feel that way, more or less. But it was just so well done...I still rate it a 9, just for execution alone, but in the long run that might come down to an 8.5.

Agreed. I think a lot of my enjoyment was from hype. Although I still thought Iron Man was great.

Hey everyone, it took me a while, but I finally got to see the movie, and I loved it...can't wait for a sequel..

I'd go with Iron Man.

I'm gonna go with Indy 4, have seen IM twice and enjoyed Indy 4 just as much as IM.

I still dont understand people putting IM on pedastal, it was a VERY GOOD movie, but some peoples claims of it being the best CB movie ever are just WAY over the top. I think in time, people will realise this.

Sorry, but what's CB?
