I'm gonna go with Indy 4, have seen IM twice and enjoyed Indy 4 just as much as IM.

i had feeling you were going to choose that.

I still dont understand people putting IM on pedastal, it was a VERY GOOD movie, but some peoples claims of it being the best CB movie ever are just WAY over the top. I think in time, people will realise this.

Normally I would be inclined to agree since I thought X2 and Spider-man 2 were great but not the best comic book movies ever but in this case...I think Iron Man just may be the best comic book movie of all time. It really is difficult to find flaws in that one. No Mary Jane to get in the way.

I think it's pretty arguable. Comic book movies by nature aren't really cinematic masterpieces to begin with. They're made to be fun and for people to enjoy. Iron Man did that, and when I compare it to the other CB movies that people put up as the best, I would argue that it very well could be number one. It's in the top five for sure.

I'm not sure if I think it's the best CB movie of all time, but I see why people are saying that. I do think that it's the best CB origin movie by far.

There's a huge flaw to Iron Man...it's action sequences are not even remotely memorable.

I like the film quite about, probably more in fact but Jamon is right. It's a very good film...but best in the genre? Nope.

Spider-Man 2's train sequence kills every action sequence in Iron Man and that was four years ago. The Tumbler sequence is better than any action sequence in Iron Man.

I mean, Jon dropped the ball majorly with the final showdown in Iron Man. It comes and goes in a blink of an eye. Hell, Speed Racer's action are much, much better.

They have everything in place for a great sequence but like Nolan with his sequel, Jon has to achieve something special with the action sequences in the sequel to Iron Man.

Having RDJ ad lib the whole film next time won't be enough.

The beauty of it was that it didnt need major action scenes. The building moments in between and the character development of Tony throughout made the action just icing. But the flight action scenes were bloody brilliant!

The pacing, the action, the acting, the story, ridding the usual comicbook movie cliches, and making Iron Man FEEL likeit was in a superhero based universe with SHIELD and Fury.


Why can't we call this the best comicbook movie to date? It sure is there for me....until TDK comes out

a couple of points

this was a great movie. Loved the suit, lines, and commentary

But this movie seemed to have spiderman 3 itus with all it's cheesy scenes.

I was dissapointed the fight between stark and the fake iron man wasn't long enough. They needed to do it like the hulk when he fought the general for a long time.

I'm also angry that war machine wasn't fighting in this movie.

Also they should of hinted at mandarin instead of going straight to the avengers

those sexual references, the maid calling the girl trash "Tony told me to take out the trash" while funny, is something the diehards cringed at while watching the movie.

I simply wanted to see more fighting between iron man and the iron monger guy with war machine saving the day. How hard could that of been

i was shocked considering fury is white. I just hope they won't have samuel being funny instead of acting in fury's true character.

I was thinking that with ultimate Fury...and to be honest i could see the movie being very ultimates based...as the backgrounds to some of these characters being long winded before their id's are exposed...iron man was one film,hulk was 2 films,next theyll have someone approach wolverine at the end of his film to join 'a team' and theyll just go round recruiting all of em until the cap film...

I enjoyed the ultimate avengers cartoon films and the ultimate alliance game so if they choose that path i wouldnt be too bothered...

Actually next (when it comes to recruitment anyway) is either Thor or Ant-man. Wolverine's kinda stuck at Fox so we won't be seeing him any time soon. So yeah, the original Avengers all the way for this one.

As for Nick Fury being Sam Jackson, hey, it's true to A comic series at least and I like that one anyway.

1. That's the type of character Tony is, a rich, funny, playboy. Ohh, a one liner! OMG! NOOOzzzZ!

Yeah, developing a whole other character to build on and taking screen time away from IRON MAN when we're first introduced to Iron Man would definitely be a smart idea? Especially when it's not completely necessary and a sequel is in the works. Let's just rush out War Machine. Who gives a damn, right?
