I'm looking forward to this movie. I've never read any of the comics and I see that as a good thing, because I can gob into the film with a fresh set of eyes and without any preconceived notions about what the movie should/shouldn't be like. I like the casting, including Megan Fox. I know a lot of people on this site hate her, but I think as long as she sticks to T&A roles, she's just fine.

oh yea i know that, i was just pointing out if its not shown in film that if a sequel happens it could be explained there. But yea i know its probably not likely unless the film does modest success.

To be honest I cant see the movie making back its budget with Toy Story 3 out the week after.

oh yea totally it should have been released earlier or come out later in like aug/sept time frame. But who knows maybe it will bomb(hopefully not) or maybe it will be a modest hit and at least make its production cost from its total US BO run.

Given that the rumors are that Jonah Hex has a budget of $40 million to $50 million, with some known actors and explosions, I think it's a safe bet to make back its budget. It probably would have to open under $15 million to fail to do so. And if it can open up in the mid 20s or higher, it's probably going to be solidly profitable. (Especially with worldwide figured in.)

It will definitely get stomped over by Toy Story 3 on its opening weekend (and Knight and Day in weekend 2), but it's set up to be the teenage boy equivalent of counter-programming probably with the hope that it can hold enough screens through the 4th of July.

I liked the other trailer better. The other trailer made the movie look like it was worth at least renting. This one is really blah which I'm sure reflects the movie pretty closer.

Trailer really isn't making me want to go see it, but I do like that last line. Even though Jonah shoots him in the chest and not the face.

i thought the new trailer is better but to each his own. I really want JH to succeed or at least make back its budget. Like most people here im beginning to be a jonah hex fan especially the grey/palmiotti vol. 2 run of the series. Here's hoping for the best and expecting the worst...

fantastic move from WB.hide all the bad acting and show a lot of boom boom.

the problem is that the first trailer is still out. and we already know that the acting is pathetic.

Possible flop indeed but you don't think it will make 50 million WW? It should easily to be honest.

Nonetheless it will probably make it up through blu-ray/DVD sales.
