If anything the makeup should have done a bit better job with incorporating his beard stubble. His stubble ends a little to abruptly and there shouldn't be so much of an indicator where the makeup begins.

That looks pretty good.... I'd be a little more excited if I didnt have this deep gut feeling that this is going to be doodoo...

Yea i am not worried about the film myself untill we got actual video footage from the film so we can see how the tone/direction going.

Jonah Hex ship steams into Louisiana

Judging from these pictures, Brolin looks a bit too 'heavy-set' to play Hex for me, I think Tom Jane would have fit the role more. The pictures are okay, but hopefully they will be augmented with CGI.

I think it looks great. I wish there was more DC western cast members. I was reading the new Hex event "Six Gun War" and its got Bat Lash and El Papagayo and they brought back Tallulah Black, who originated fairly early in Hex's present title. Shes a pretty cool character.

Heard a few weeks back the character was going to be in the show.

He has already appeared once during the beginning of one episode

Is it true what Fox has been saying in recent interviews? That Hex can talk to the dead? I just didnt get that vibe from reading Origins at all, is it something the character can do? I know he brought Tallula Black back practically from the dead, but he didnt talk to them in that TPB.

Hex has no powers.

I thought that, which is why Fox's comments have me a bit worried. What I loved about the comic was the gritty, brutal, and realistic tone. I hope this all hasnt been jettisoned to give him powers and an undead storyline.

In the Script, Hex is almost an urban legend. There are several myths about him. One of them is "He talks the dead. And the dead talk back to him." Maybe Fox was aluding to that?

I'm not too worried. The script was brilliant (even better than the Thor and Green Lantern first drafts, in my opinion), and they've got some great actors involved. It would take the most abysmal, awful direction to screw this up.

not by any of us, since we cant post scripts as the mods have said.

I hope so, would hate for them to just give him a power just for sake of it.

Does he have any powers in the script? Nice to know its a good script though.

A western movie starring Josh Brolin and John Malkovich will never be doodoo.

Read the script and I think it is brilliant. But is that the final draft? I can picture Brolin perfectly, it was like it was tailor made for him.
